Moving Toward A No Waste Lifestyle
The fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world. From consuming tons of water, using thousands of toxic chemicals, and producing a whole lot of waste, textile production is one dirty business.
Its time we change the way we dress, its time to detox. Whether you are already buying used clothing or just starting to buy local, organic, and sustainable products, a little step in this direction can make a difference. Buying vintage uses less resources, combats waste by giving items a second life, and inevitably shrinks our carbon footprint. A lot of vintage found in the shop was made in america, which tells us the manufacturing process was more thoughtful, so its better quality and will ultimately have a longer life than mass produced items from China.
The clothes you wear define who you are. Don't fall victim to trendy big fast fashion brands who tell you how to dress. Find your own personal aesthetic, wear it with confidence- and it will never go out of style.
When it comes time to clear your closet of tired items, remember to donate, gift, or repurpose them. Continue the cycle ♻
