Welcome and thanks for stopping by!

All my art is completely original, just like every drop of rain that helps create it - every cloudy day brings a new story. As each drop falls it claims a place on paper, thus creating its own unique and colorful imprint, providing me with the inspiration to complete the images you see in my store.

In keeping with the spirit of the Northwest I use recycled materials as much as possible.

♻ The watercolor paper pieces that I use are scraps that would otherwise be thrown away.

♻ The backing I use to keep your artwork flat for shipping is scrap mat board collected from local art stores.

♻ All artwork purchases come with recycled stickers.

♻ My shipping envelopes are 100% recycled.

Each piece of art is carefully packaged to ensure safe travel.

FAQs

☂ How do I know this is real rain?

Washington State simply gets too much rain for me to go to the faucet and cheat. I have my integrity, and I love going in the rain to see how it'll move the colors around. On top of that, I've found that rain water reacts differently than normal, faucet water, probably due to the chemical additives in drinking water. So rest assured, you're getting rain :)

☂ How do you make rain paintings?

I do them a few different ways. Typically, I'll just go outside, put some color on paper, then set it in the rain and allow the drops to splash the colors around. Then I come up with an idea that fits the patterns, draw it on, and call it finished.

Another way I make these paintings is by collecting the rain from various sources: puddles, off of leaves, or I catch the large drips from trees. Then I paint a watercolor painting as normal.

I also collect rain from around the world. When I travel, I make the attempt to get some rain in bottles from that area, so that I can paint with it!

SO PLEASE, SEND ME YOUR RAIN!!!

☂ What are 'one-off originals?'

One-off originals are one-of-a-kind paintings with designs that I will not paint again.

☂ What are 'limited original design?'

Limited original designs are paintings that utilize the same motif, but are still completely hand painted. I DO NOT MAKE PRINTS of rain paintings. These paintings are never the same since I will change backgrounds and colors. Please click the link below for examples of Limited Original Designs.
