It's just wonderful! I am very pleased with this postcard. I'll give it to my girlfriend who loves Sleepless in Seattle. She will be happy.

Welcome to my shop. RainWater Gallery is where I showcase some of the very best photographic images available to the public. My body of work continues to evolve. I’m always seeking other subjects, other images that evoke an emotional response from within me and from my customers.

I have been a photographer for over 35 years. Starting as a sophomore in high school, using a fixed lens 35 mm camera, I have since photographed anything and everything I could. My passion is Native American dancers and fine art - out doors images. I enjoy a relationship with many pow wow participants and I share with them my work and seek their input.

Concerning images that I have dramatically digitally altered; I do so to try and share with you how I have experienced the moment. My images are an expression of my response to the scene that was captured in a blink. It is my attempt to evoke within you the feeling of that moment - more than just an accurate recording of the scene. Having said that; many of my images have only been improved by cropping, dodging, burning, color and contrast balancing - all techniques that I used when I had my own professional darkroom.

Purchasing art is a highly personal, individual pursuit. Some buy photos because of how it will look in a room or in a décor. Some buy my photographs because of how they make them feel. Not all of my work is intended to make my audience feel good - but some to make you think. Take a few moments to look through my work - you will appreciate the quality and the effort.

It is my hope that you and I engage in a dialogue - it helps me continue to fine-tune my work. Although I enjoy hearing that you appreciate my images, it’s more important for me to understand why.

Lastly, I will occasionally offer other items for sale that I appreciate and hope you will also.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
All payments will be made in United States Dollars (USD). I prefer the PayPal form of payment - you do not need to be signed up with PayPal to use PayPal, just have a valid credit card. I will accept money orders - my preference is US Post Office money orders - and they are cheaper to purchase than many others. Before sending a money order we must agree on the amount. Payment must be received before I will ship the item. Any payment other than the above will result in my returning the improper payment and cause the delay in shipping until proper payment is received, or possible cancellation of the order. I expect payment to be made promptly; within 5 working days is preferred. However it is my desire to work with you if there are valid reasons why payment may be delayed. All Washington State residents will pay state sales tax. Cancellations of a purchase are strongly discouraged and must be mutually agreed upon. Communication with me is very important if you experience any problems or issues.
Shipping
All prices include 1st class postage, United States Postal System. I typically do not recommend insurance - if you want postal insurance please let me know. I ship within 5 working days of receipt of proper payment. I will send you notice that your item has been shipped and I appreciate notice back that it has arrived. Items are packaged to make the journey to your door in excellent shape - however stuff happens and if your item arrives in less than satisfactory condition I will work hard to ensure your happiness.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not make exchanges. All sales are final. Items that arrive damaged will be replaced or your money returned, depending on the item. Photographs that arrive damaged must be returned to me; you will pay the return postage. I will send a replacement photograph. Items that are lost in shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser to resolve. Prints are stunning and the Etsy samples are small digital images that do not convey the rich colors and fine detail. Be sure you want the item before you purchase. If you have any questions please e-mail me – I try hard to make sure all of my descriptions are correct. There are no other recourses available to the purchaser.
Additional policies and FAQs
Most images are printed by me when purchased. They are printed on one of the best printers available. All images are print on high quality paper - usually glossy or pearl finish paper- depending on the image and my opinion on what looks best. All images will last a very long time if taken care of properly; as you would any photograph. Framing using acid free mattes and museum quality glass is highly recommended.

Most images are printed with extra selvage. I do this for 2 reasons; 1) It is better to trim to exactly to the matt or frame used; 2) the extra selvage helps protect the print during shipping. If you have other preferences please contact me.

I have a very large inventory of images and only showcase a small percentage here. If there is an image that you are searching for please contact me and I’ll see if I have it for you.

Many of my photographs have been purchased by art dealers - retail stores for resale. I’m Ok with this, but understand that all of my art is copyrighted by me and I retain all rights to it.

Communication between us is important.
