Inspired by diverse cultures and beauty of nature

In February 2003, I started Raindrops. It was the beginning of a journey for me and I was fully dedicated to my new passion.

While traveling all over the world I have enjoyed learning about the richness of new cultures and art, meeting new people and observing their lives. One of the great strengths of art is that it crosses the border, fuses cultural differences and opens your mind. My jewelry is truly international; it is inspired by diverse cultures and beauty of nature; it is the expression how I see the world.

My commitment is to acquire unique stones and materials from around the world to use in my jewelry designs paying special attention to beauty, quality and rarity. I use primarily natural materials such as sterling silver, leather, wood & bone, and gemstones. I have been attracted to different jewelry techniques which I use in my designs such as Precious Metal Clay, silvermithing, wire wrapping, hand forging and etc. Every jewelry piece is distinctive and different and made by hand though sometimes in my designs I purchase casted jewelry findings and supplies (such as clasps, connectors, metal beads, chains etc.) from various reputable vendors and suppliers..

My jewelry has been featured lately in a gallery of Lux Art Institute: http://www.luxartinstitute.org/. I participate in art shows, sell my jewelry in retail.

All women are different and I like designing special pieces for every type and every age, including little girls though my primary interest is to offer gemstone jewelry for women over-thirty, women who want to look great and are not afraid to stand out.

I work mainly alone from a small home studio in a beautiful little town by the ocean, Encinitas in Southern CA. I finished jewelry courses in Precious Metal Clay (Columbus Cultural Art Center, OH) and later in metalsmithing (Palomar College, UCSD Crafts Center, CA). My teenage granddaughter Anastasia helps me manage my on-line store.
Jewelry making and managing the business takes most of my time but I try to squeeze time for creating ceramic art, travel with my husband and my great camera, take care of organic garden, do yoga, walk on the beach and play with my dog and grand kids.... And I often wish that there are more then 24 hours in a day.

Thank you for stopping by and come back often as items are added as soon as they are created.
