I orifinally bought this bag because of the Mariners fabric. It soon became my favorite bag to carry socks around in. The size, construction and the double pull strings make this an awesome bag all around.

About

Simple, Classic Knitting Designs and Whimsical Knitting Supplies

My knitting story began in North Carolina with my little family as I ended my Army tour of 5 years to stay home with my infant daughter. As a military family, moving around is part of the life and making new friends a constant job. Since we just moved most of my energy was spent on taking care of my family, so the quiet hours had to be filled with something. That's when I bought a book about knitting and taught myself how to knit.

Twenty years later I've never put the knitting needles down and I'm back living in my home state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest. There is always a need to dress in layers here and those layers have to be functional. This is where my style of knitting originated and where it tends to stay.

My knitting is perfect for a walk with your dog on the local trail, or even a commute on the city bus. I love bright colors, but try to focus on the subdued. If there are items you see in my shop that you love, but would like your own special color I will gladly try and accommodate with a commissioned order.

I began to teach knitting & designing patterns about 10 years ago. My first students were mostly my friends' children. Now, I teach a weekly class at a local craft store near where I live. I designed the squares you see in my shop specifically for knitters to "test drive" certain techniques of patterns.

The story of my sewing skills began at 12 when my mom sat me down at the sewing machine and taught me how to make simple items. At 16 she let me pick my own dress pattern and helped me make my first garment. After I had my daughter I made her various little jumpers until she was old enough to not think they were "cool" anymore.

Now I use my sewing skills for the good of all knitters and crocheters. I choose fabric that speaks to me in a fun and whimsical way. The project bags, zipper pouches and other knitting supplies you see on my sight come from my love of all things unique. There are so many fabrics and charms out there that represent fandoms, hobbies and favorite passions. What better gift can you give someone but a simple bag to show off what they like?

I have currently found one of my passions - teaching others to knit! I taught myself to knit after I got out of the Army 18 years ago and haven't stopped since. I am most happy making a special knitted surprise for someone.

Keeping my human company while she crafts is a big job. Looking cute and making sure she takes knitting breaks is my main profession. The side benefits of getting walks on those breaks has nothing to do with my motives.

  • Bug

    Assistant

As my name implies I assist in bugging my human. When I’m not knocking over glasses of water I’m inspecting new items to verify they are up to my expectations. As long as I can sleep on the fuzzy blanket most of them pass inspection.

  • Cotton

    Assistant

Cuddling my human’s feet while she knits is my most important job. She stays up late at night completing projects so keeping her company is a serious job.
