Welcome to our little spot on the web! We wish it looked exactly like our actual shop, surrounded by the snowy mountains and silvery ocean. You'll just have to imagine it all; we're certainly thinking of you when we look at it...that's where a lot of inspiration comes from, whether for an actual item or in striving harder to be more green. At Rainy Pass, we're committed to providing handmade goods that are satisfying to you and the world around you.
* We *love* requests; if it can be made, it shall be made!
* If something you really liked is now sold, drop us a line. No two items of ours are ever the same, but chances are great we can reasonably duplicate it.
* We also love sending gifts, and will always include a personalized note for you.

We try, whenever possible, to give materials a second-lease on life. Any of our items noted as "repurposed" contain recycled components (this includes most of our handbags, which started out in life as a blazer, quilt, etc). We want you to feel good about where your dollar goes.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
  • Buy with Apple Pay
  • Pay with Sofort
  • Pay with iDeal
  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Paypal is safe and easy, but we understand that not everyone uses it; not everyone can. We will accept check or money order - just realize that we can't ship until your payment arrives. With money orders we ship immediately; items paid by personal check ship when payment clears.
When paying by paypal, we allow 3 days; check and money order we allow 10. If we haven't received payment or heard from you at that time, we'll have to re-list the item.
We try our best to offer the cheapest, fastest shipping methods possible; unfortunately, shipping from Alaska is prohibitive on both fronts. We also want your purchase to be safe, so whenever possible we use tracking. Most hats and similar sized items are shipped well-insulated in flat-rate boxes with tracking;occasionally we use recycled boxes. If you prefer new, or if the item is a gift and you'd prefer it arrive in packaging not previously used, you have only to ask.
Most items will arrive in a week, but we're shipping from Alaska and (sadly) have no sway with the postal service; sometimes delivery takes a little longer.
Your item is boxed asap, and ready to send out the door as soon as your payment clears. We make runs in to the post office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, guaranteed. If you need something shipped faster, such as a gift, just convo us.
Refunds and Exchanges
Oops! Something went wrong...sometimes that happens; the mail man crushed it, or it just wasn't quite what you wanted.
We want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you're not satisfied, let us know within three days of receiving your item. We always want to hear your thoughts and work for a solution.
If we can't make things right or replace your purchase, we'll happily offer a refund, less the cost of shipping. All we ask is that the item be posted within three days of original receipt. :)
Additional policies and FAQs
Our items are hand-made; the beauty of that is, you'll never receive a mass-produced item from our shop. However, it also means that no two items are exactly the same. When requesting a made-to-order item, please bear in mind there are sometimes slight differences. (Sometimes Wes daydreams while he cuts the padding!)

In Alaska, we're often overwhelmed by the bounty of goods and natural materials we find to work with. From fresh cranberries to wild honey, to wool and paper made by local craftsmen, there is literally an abundance of local gifts; whenever possible, we buy and gather locally to support the community that supports us.
