Raqueli's adventures =)
I started making jewellery when I was 14 years old and couldn't find anything at the stores that would please me. I remember I always felt very frustrated, because what I would like would be to expensive to my pocket So, my mother started encouraging me to create my own accessories and clothes. She taught me how to knit and how to crochet and by myself I also started making some pieces of jewellery. During the summer I also went to a sewing atelier, order to learn at least the basics of sewing, which I really enjoyed!
The next step was starting to sell, specially jewellery, among my friends at school and then this just became such an important part of my life that I've never stop since then!!
When I was thinking about what to study at the university I considered seriously Jewellery Design, but I also wanted to study Psychology. It was a difficult decision...I chose Psychology in the sense that I could continue doing jewellery without a degree, which couldn't happen with Psychology...and so I did!!!
And here I am today as a doctoral student in Criminal Psychology and a jewellery and other crafts maker!! I really enjoy the combination of the two and do not have plans to stop with any of them!!
