About

where you get what you deserve!

Years ago, my husband and daughter gave me a "How to Bead" book and some beads for Mother's Day. I have always loved jewelry, but I had never tried to make any myself. I bought some basic tools and started learning how to bead.

Later, my husband and I got involved with SCARAB gaming convention. I made a pair of earrings with the convention dice and received requests to make earrings for others. So I made some more. And then I made a lanyard. And a bracelet. And "SCARAB bling" was born! I had a small booth at the convention to sell the bling and someone asked if I had an Etsy shop.

Obviously, I needed an Etsy shop. When I opened my shop, I listed dice jewelry and the more traditional jewelry that I made. My best sellers on Etsy have been acrylic dice bead jewelry, so now my Etsy shop focuses on those. (If you would like to see some of the other jewelry I make, visit my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/RandomActsOfKarmaSC/ or follow me on Instagram @ RandomActsOfKarmaSC.)

My "studio" is very much a work in progress. My husband helped me build some nifty storage cabinets to organize my beads. (And we put them on casters, so they can travel to conventions!)

I love making jewelry and I love that Etsy allows me to market my jewelry across the country. It still amazes me that people are wearing my jewelry thousands of miles away!

Thank you for visiting my shop!

(PS: About my shop's name… In my Philosophy 101 class in college, I was introduced to the idea of Karma. I always liked the idea that people get what they deserve. When I was thinking of a shop name, I wanted "karma" to be in their somewhere. I also wanted to incorporate dice, since that was the basis of most of the jewelry I was selling. "Random Determiners of Karma" seemed a little wordy. Eventually inspiration struck. :-) )
