A fabulous purse I purchased as a gift for my wife, the bag looks great on her shoulder. The craftsmanship is extraordinary and the fine Italian leather is of the highest quality! The purse was shipped immediately and I received it promptly.

Great bag - it was a gift and she was very happy with it. This is the second one I purchased and it's just as fantastic as the first. Love how they are slightly different so there is no two alike

About

Becoming a handbag designer

I was born and raised in Costa Rica. Creativity and art were, from a very early age, predominant elements in my life. Dancing was one of my first loves. I mastered the art of salsa at the age of 7! I loved drawing, writing songs, poems and short stories since I was about 9 years old. As I got older I fell in love with crafting; cross-stitching, greeting card making, etc. Ironically; I hated sewing even though my parents are experts in the matter. Around the age of 15 y.o I got into performing salsa in front of my high school as a therapeutic measure to go against my stage fright, though writing was still my main focus. By this time I was writing books that all my high school friends and friends of friends enjoyed reading.

After finishing high school I was a bit self conscious of living in a very small countryside town and of options and opportunities being scarce. Even if I was to move to the city I couldn’t seem to find something that would inspire me enough to pursue as a career. I left my home country when I was 20 years old in search of adventure, direction and the unknown.

I lived in NYC first where the desire to learn more about fashion started and where I fell in love too. But it wouldn’t be until about 4 years after that I bought my first sewing machine and that I pursued that love story again. Those years were gold; I moved back home to the beach, made new friends, traveled more, continued to write, then left again to live in Paris for a little while; just to run back to NYC where I met -once again- the love of my life.

In 2007 I realized I had been quite obsessed with handbags since I remembered and I got it in my head that I wanted to make my own bags. Despite my refusal to learn to use a sewing machine earlier on, I went ahead and got my first machine: A beautiful small plastic sewing and embroidery machine perfect for beginners. Reading the manual and figuring out the settings was a total headache and my first handbag attempt was a complete disappointment. I didn’t want to be disappointed again during a second attempt so I did my online research for pattern making and ideas.

The second handbag was gorgeous. Nobody believed I had made it. Neither did I! The realization then came and it was tangible magic; I had found real passion, something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. I divorced writing and crafts (dancing? Never!) and I married handbag making forever.

In 2009 I moved to Israel with my husband. We’ve made a home in this gorgeous controversial country and we have two wonderful children. My studio upstairs is full of inspiration, light, music, leather, tools and my two most recent sewing machines. But most importantly, it’s full of love for every second of my creative process.

The adventure started a decade ago and it has matured between the process of self learning and formal training. The path has certainly been long but worth every success, every mistake, every smile and every disappointment, because learning never ends.

The main goals of my website is to share my passionate designs with that fearlessly fashionable women in the world and to build a growing connection with what I create: the best quality handcrafted luxury handbags. This is what I call success.
