The Journey of Raven — How Raven Approved™ Began
STORY ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Before the road… before the RV… before Raven Approved™… there was a story that began with love, learning, and two Great Danes who changed everything.
Before Raven, there was Barbie and Gracie.
They were the reason Mom began learning what truly goes into a bowl. When Barbie struggled with traditional dog food due to a sensitive stomach, Mom started cooking real food with simple ingredients. After that change, Barbie began to thrive.
Years later, Gracie joined the family and was fed the same way. Even after knee surgeries and a short life expectancy, she lived years longer than anyone expected. Barbie lived to nearly fifteen. Gracie lived to nine.
They proved something important:
Nutrition matters.
Consistency matters.
Care matters.
Their lives built the foundation for what Raven Approved™ would one day become.
When Raven came home, the decision had already been made. She would be loved and fed with the same intention. Not because it was trendy. Because it worked.
Raven quickly made it clear she had standards.
If something carried her paw stamp, it meant she was present. She inspected it. She supervised preparation. She evaluated every detail before it reached her bowl.
Raven Approved™ was never meant to be decoration.
It became a standard.
What started as home-cooked meals became a philosophy. What started as a philosophy became a cookbook. What started as a cookbook became a brand.
Today Raven is a full-time RV dog whose home is wherever we park. From campgrounds across the country to quiet evenings after travel days, her standards remain the same.
If it goes in the bowl, it should help the dog eating it.
Raven Approved™ represents:
• Real ingredients
• Thoughtful feeding
• Consistent care
• Life on the road with dogs
• Raising the standard for how we care for our pets
We do not cook to impress the internet.
We cook with purpose.
Because food is not just fuel.
It is care made visible.
Raven Approved™ exists to remind people that dogs do not need perfection. They need consistency. They need safety. They need someone paying attention.
Most of all, they need someone who asks:
"Is this worthy of the bowl?"
That question built the cookbook.
That question built this business.
And that question continues to guide everything we create.
Thank you for being part of Raven’s journey and helping share her mission:
No More Sad Bowls.
