Welcome to ReIncarKnits!

My name is Lynette Connors, and I love to "reincarknit" old sweaters into new treasures! It's so much fun!

Often the shapes and designs of the individual sweaters are my inspiration for what the sweater will become next. It's a fantastic creative challenge to work around the inherent problems of using source material that is not flat fold fabric or new yarn. Sometimes those limitations inspire the most successful designs.

I love to take previously luv'd sweaters, garments and other things and make them into new items. There's just no reason for garments with small stains or damage, or those that are out of style, to be thrown entirely away.

I clean all the items I use before crafting them into something wonderful, and try to use as many parts as possible. Sometimes the results are truly surprising! That gaudy, over-sized, 80's sweater might not be "hip" to wear anymore, but it makes fantastic and fun stuffed toys, decorative pillows, bags and purses!

One crafty gal can only do so much, but every toy, bag, garment, and household item that you purchase from me is one less commercial item that has to be made in wasteful and toxic factory processes, and one less item that went to a landfill.

And, it's one *more* item that supports the handmade movement! Lots of craftsmen and artisans like me have a passion for their particular art or craft, and for making quality, unique items with a personal touch. Every handmade item has a story, a history, and love built right in.

The best part? Every single item in my shop will be a One Of A Kind treasure! The nature of re-using old sweaters means no two "reincarknitted" items will ever be exactly alike.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
All sales are final.

It's important to me to make and sell only quality products, and ship them safely, and have satisfied customers. I take time in giving an accurate description with approximate measurements and show multiple photos to represent each item as clearly as possible.

I make every effort to represent colors as true as possible in my photos. However, every computer monitor is different, so please make allowances.

Please take the time before ordering garments to measure yourself, or similar well fitting garments from your closet and compare to the given measurements to be sure of a good fit. If you have questions about an item, please send me a conversation.

All products are packaged carefully and shipped in a timely manner with delivery confirmation and insurance when indicated.
1. We accept Paypal and all major credit cards.
2. Immediate payment is required for all purchases.
I try as much as possible to re-use boxes, envelopes and packing materials for shipping. However, shipping your items safely is the most important thing, so new materials will be used if I can't find appropriate materials to re-use.

If you need your items to be shipped in only new materials, please include that info in the "note to seller" when you check out.

I typically ship within 2 business days of receiving full payment. However, since I am not in my studio every day, I can only guarantee shipping once a week on Saturdays.

I usually offer free shipping on all items. Orders are typically shipped USPS First Class mail with delivery confirmation. Orders over $50 will be insured. If other shipping options are desired, mention it in "notes to seller" when you check out and I will do my best to accomodate. There may be additional charge for alternate shipping options. If so, an amended invoice will be sent through paypal.

We ship internationally. Please note that shipping prices are estimates. When shipping occurs, an amended invoice for shipping will be sent to you if necessary, either charging, or refunding excess fees. International buyers are responsible for their own country's fees, tariffs and taxes.

When free shipping is offered, international buyers are still responsible for their own country's fees, taxes and tariffs.
Additional policies and FAQs
ReIncarKnits strives to offer quality, handcrafted products made with quality materials.

Even though I use recycled source materials, I choose only the best. I choose natural materials as often as possible, such as wool and cotton sweaters, wood and metal findings, etc.

However, I try to incorporate any non-natural materials I end up with, such as plastic buttons that come on some of the sweaters, rather than throwing them out.

All materials are inspected ahead to be sure they are in good condition, and are thoroughly cleaned and/or laundered before being crafted, or before being sold, depending on the method needed to create.

I make every effort to be sure my customers are happy. Please do contact me with questions or concerns before leaving feedback. I will get back to you as soon as possible and do what I can to resolve any issues. I want happy customers!

Custom orders:
The nature of upcycled and repurposed products is that they can't be made to exact custom requests.

However, I can take custom requests for general things, such as:
-"A small purse for a little girl. She loves flowers and her favorite color is pink."
-"A laptop sleeve for a man. His computer measures (measurements) and he likes a traditional look (or funky, obsurd, whatever). Neutral (or wild, neon, whatever) colors are best.

If you want something like this, send me a conversation, and I'll give you an estimate. If you decide to move forward, a third of the purchase price will be due immediately, non-refundable, and then I will work with you on style/design, and acquire source material. Once the item is made and you approve the pics, then full payment will be due before shipping.

Note that custom orders will have some lead time depending on how long it takes to get supplies and create the item, so please plan ahead. Depending on supplies needed, where to ship or size of order, assume between 4 and 8 weeks.

Wholesale orders:
If you have a need for a standing repeat order or large order for resale, please contact me for information regarding wholesale pricing and quotes. Not all items are available for wholesale pricing.

Again, upcycled items are not exactly repeatable. In this case, a wholesale order from a boutique might be:

-15 WoolAgain Creatures (large size)
-25 WoolAgain Creatures (assorted sizes)
-10 large casual bags, 10 medium bags and 5 purses (suggest colors/styles/etc.)
