Re-Generate, Re-Juvenate, Re-Cycled Art!

I have introduced a line of wearable art made from recycled saris. Silk, chiffon. & Art silk are the fabrics of this season in a rainbow of color!

My interest in Indian fabrics, designs, colors, patterns has grown over the course of many visits to Kolkata, India. Sari shopping for new materials is truly an exciting experience and often the most expensive garments are handed down through generations. Just as in western fashion, styles & patterns often change and an unfortunate small rib or stain could be the end of use for the 6 yards of sari fabric. Indian artisans have been recycling saris for years into household decorations, clothes, and other items. Out of necessity and a good deal of business sense, India has truly cornered the market on recycling. I've been truly inspired by the small ways that people have repurposed items.

My goal is to combine the unique colors and designs of these repurposed fabrics into accessories that accentuate a modern ensemble.
