About

Love's Expression

I have fallen in love with fine hand crochet. I am an artist, I paint with watercolors. I wanted another form of creating for those hours when painting was inconvenient. Now, whenever I have free time I pick up my crochet hook and some yarn and make whatever the yarn is telling me to. This shop is for the baby items I'm enjoying creating.

Right now I'm in love with the Hobby Lobby brand of yarn, "I Love This Yarn". It comes in bright colors and the solids have coordinating, multi-colored yarns. This yarn is so soft and I've been enjoying creating buntings and sleepsacks with and without matching hats for babies and infants. These are snugly and soft. Perfect for newborns. I've seen them used by photographers to take baby pictures. Until I have a grandchild to use for my model, I leave the actual wearing of each piece up to your imagination.

Real McCoy is my first shop, I started it out to sell my scarves and hats. I felt the name needed to change, so I moved that shop to McCoy Knits.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/McCoyKnits

When you go there you will see everything else I crochet in adult sizes: the hats, scarves, wraps, cup cozies, and many other items.

I would be more than happy to crochet you any of these items in Cotton, cashmere, alpaca, or Wool. I will take custom orders for different colors, sizes, and yarns. I even sew a little as you can see and would be happy to zip up different flannels.

I was shown the basics on how to crochet a scarf by my Aunt Doris when I was very young. I'm self taught for all the rest. I love working with yarn, creating something out of it. I love the feel of yarn and especially enjoy the rainbow of colors.

Kristin got me started crocheting again. She is my only daughter, the love of my life. I started crocheting scarves for her, then hats. Now that she's gotten married, I'm experimenting on baby items, not yet needed, but hoped for.

Thank you for looking. Enjoy buying. Be proud in owning handmade. Be especially proud to buy hand crochet made in the U.S.A. and hand made by a local artisan.

I take pride in my work. These are not mass produced, nor do I pay someone else to do the work. I make the items I offer here for sale.

I do want you to love what you receive from me. I prefer not permitting returns nor refunds. You should make a commitment to your purchase. I am not a large corporation, reselling other peoples work. Everything I sell here I have taken hours creating, the labor is all mine. The cost of the item in no way reflects the amount of time I've worked on a piece. There is no profit to me, only more funds available to purchase more yarn to make more items.
Since Etsy prefers we sellers allow returns I will limit my policy and say that there must be a terrible error on my part to request a return/refund.

Return Policy: I always strive to make you happy about your purchase. If there is a horrible problem with your item you can return it for a refund. I will accept the return of an item in the original condition I mailed it to you for a full refund on the returned item, less shipping costs. The buyers pays shipping both ways on returned items.

Exchanges: You can exchange for limited reasons. For example: If you ordered blue and discovered the expected baby is being outfitted in pink, and you have not used the item, I would allow an exchange.
Return it for an exchange and you pay all shipping and handling costs incurred there and back and the new items shipping also.

Refund/Replacement of items lost in transit will not be issued until 6 weeks after shipment. This will allow both me and the buyer time to research where it might have been lost.

If an item has been damaged in the mail, and if I've mailed it Priority mail, then the post office will refund the cost. Let me know right away and you can file a claim with them.

I have included measurements of the items in the ad. Therefore, incorrect measurements read from your end are not permitted as a reason for a refund. Get out your tape measure and check my measurements with your requirements.

I have taken pictures of each item and included them in the ad.
I can take more pictures if you need them. Upon occasion my camera is sometimes blurry, I apologize for that.

Ask any questions before you buy.

INTERNATIONAL buyers have 14 days to contact me for a refund according to EU laws.
Buyers pay for return shipping. Items that touch the skin or hair, such as baby buntings, blankets, or hat are not returnable due to hygiene.

I can fit 2 in the same Priority package if you'd like to order another one at the same time for one shipping charge only.

If you choose Regular Mail there is no insurance and you must be aware of that. By choosing First Class or Parcel Select you will be acknowledging your acceptance of "No Insurance". Items lost or damaged in the mail are not my responsibility under this choice of shipping.
Additional policies and FAQs
Start a Conversation and tell me what you would like me to crochet for you. I love to crochet. The colors and different softness of each yarn is so enthralling. My biggest wow is walking through a yarn store, gazing at all the colors and touching the yarns, feeling their softness. I will close my eyes and imagine what I can crochet with it. Yarn has been known to speak to me :) I am the "Yarn Whisperer " LOL
