There's Always A Reason To Be Pretty...

My name is Nophar. I'm a fashion designer, owner, designer and creator of the fashion jewelry brand Reason To Be Pretty. I create beautiful lightweight bohemian-modern statement jewelry, made of cords, fringe tassels, wood elements and metal components, all hand made, crafted in my Harlem based studio and plated in USA. There's a 'pink' hue to everything I touch, even when it's black. I believe we deserve to be surrounded by prettiness, wherever we go, so I always aspire to create an exquisite, unique and comfortable Day-To-Night jewelry to prettify any outfit, from a basic T-shirt to and evening gown, so that the customer will feel and look pretty at any given moment.

When I arrived in NYC I immediately started working for well known fashion studios, specializing in embroideries and embellishments, while participating in world known embroidery competitions and continued my studies. In 2010 I decided to launch Reason To Be Pretty, a lavish and eclectic jewelry line, featuring a variety of necklaces, earrings and bracelets, from extravagant to delicate pieces with zealous attention to materials, color combination, weight, comfort and style. I have sensitive skin, so I try to use the best materials available, alongside beautiful vintage components that makes a each design not only pretty but also unique.

My favorite compliment is "Oh it's so pretty!".

Reason To Be Pretty is a boho chic modern jewelry line. Based in Harlem, NYC, all of our items are handmade locally. Our fringe is imported from a small family factory in Madrid, our cords are imported from japan, we design most of our metal & wood components and plate everything in Rhode Island. All of our jewelry pieces are lightweight and easy to wear with nickel free plated brass components.

♥ Most of our fringe and cords are hand dyed, due to the hand dying process the color of might vary a little. All of our pieces are handmade and hand dyed in our NYC based studio, and are nickel free plated in the USA. We plate all out metal components in nickel free 18k gold / imitation rhodium (silver) plating or are available in raw brass.

♥ We will make sure to note in our listing, when a component is a vintage component, pre plated or not nickel free plated, so please make sure to check if you have any allergies.

♥ Taking Care of Your RTBP Jewelry:
* Handle with care, please hang or lay down gently and avoid sharp objects next to the fringe and cords.
* In case the fringe is wrinkled a touch of steam will immediately straighten it.
* If a string of fringe is frayed or pulled you can always trim it with scissors to prevent it from pulling (you can also shorten the piece by holding it at the cap and cutting with sharp scissors if needed).
* Though we make sure to wash and dry our hand dyed fringe and cords thoroughly after the dyeing process, like any other hand dyed fabric, they might bleed a little when coming in direct contact with water.
* All our metal components are nickel free plated, they might tarnish with time, try to avoid direct contact with moisturizer, perfume or water.
*** Some components are pre plated and might not be nickel free, please make sure to ask me before you shop if you are allergic.

Custom and personalized orders

♥ We are always happy to work with you on new custom pieces! Feel free to contact us with any ideas or dream colors you might have in mind. It would be my pleasure to make them come true!

♥ If you have a color reference or a photo, that always helps, this way I can try and match it! But, do know that colors looks different on different screens, and it might not be exactly what you see.

♥ Please note, I am working very hard on creating your custom pieces, therefor, there are no returns, exchanges or refunds on custom made items.
