They worked closely with me to bring my ideas to life, and made sure everything was perfect, from the scent notes to the design of the label. The craftsmanship and care put into these candles is astounding and given the price point and shipping, really can’t be beat. I don’t think I’ll be buying candles anywhere else! 100/10

Care instructions
For the best possible burn, please trim your candle wick to approximately 1/4 of an inch in between each use. You can trim your wick with a pair of scissors.
Due to changes in temperature during shipping, some candle labels may arrive with a few minor wrinkles or air bubbles between the label and the candle jar. If this should happen, please use the side of a credit card to smooth the air out of the label.
Please consult the caution label on the bottom of your candle for further care instructions. Likewise, feel free to message us on Etsy or Instagram with any questions!
Gift wrapping and packaging
Our products are packaged with the utmost care to preserve the integrity of each candle. Each product is wrapped and cushioned to prevent any breakage during shipping and handling.
Our candle + book gift sets are packaged in white gift boxes and accented with decorative paper shred. Please note that the color of decorative shred may vary by box, but we work to coordinate colors so that each box is uniquely beautiful.
Our 8 oz. candles are cushioned and packed in 4x4x4 inch boxes for easy gifting.
Each of our candle lids are hand-stamped with a wax seal. Please note that the color of each wax seal will vary, but we do color-coordinate based on candle and jar color. Gift sets of more than one candle will all have the same color seal.

Our candles and gift sets make great additions to any special gathering or event, and we are happy to work with you individually on custom quantity orders. Our 4 oz. candles make unforgettable party favors, and our 8 oz. candles are perfect for gifting or displaying.

We are always planning new literary-inspired candle collections here at Recto & Verso, but we would love to hear from you if there is a particular book, character, or author you'd like to see represented in our shop.
Please feel free to drop us a line here on Etsy or on Instagram, and we will be sure to add your suggestion to our list for consideration as we develop new scents and candle series.
Shipping
We offer free USPS Priority Mail shipping on orders totaling $35 and over. For expedited shipping, please contact us so we can work with you to ensure your order arrives on time.
We aim to recycle and reuse packing materials as much as possible in order to refrain from creating waste. Please be aware of this, as packaging materials may vary by individual shipment. Thank you for helping us stay green!
Sizing details
We currently offer our candles in two sides: 4 oz. and 8 oz. jars. Please check individual listings for more sizing specifications.
As of right now, we do not sell our 4 oz. candles individually - only in gift sets. But, as always, please get in touch with us if you have a custom order or size request!
