Announcement   Welcome to Recycled Reads where we are keeping unwanted books out of landfills one folded book art sculpture at a time.

The point of my work is to create art from the thousands of books I own after closing my used book store. Most titles are random and generic - I choose books for each sculpture according to the number of pages required to fold a project. Keep in mind that the title does not show when the piece is displayed.

You may provide two or three color choices for the cover in the notes section of your order.

I only use books that have no monetary value.

If using a specific title is important to you, I will be happy to fold it according to these guidelines:
~ it has enough pages for your project
~ it is a hardcover
~ it doesn't have a deckled foredge
~ you send it to me.

The folded books will never close again. To ship them, I wrap them in their open state in bubble wrap, and fill the box with recycled packing peanuts.

As seen on Martha Stewart's blog (slides 42 + 43): http://www.themarthablog.com/2013/06/crafting-at-the-renegade-craft-fair-in-brooklyn-ny.html
