Announcement   Hallooo from my new (vintage) home. Though not fully settled, it is time to ramp up the shop inventory. I've many exciting offerings to add into the shop. Be on the lookout for Kasper for Arnold Fox, Hermes, Margot de Taxco, Warby, Hillbilly Westerns and much, much more. Victorian and Edwardian, through post war and early 1960s, to some outstanding 70s and 80s fashions. I'lll be breaking out more jewelry, as well. I'may excited to get back to work!

Wishing you all magical moments, grand adventures and good fortune!

Some of my favorite customers (old and new) ask about discounts. I am amenable to reasonable negotiations on some of the items in the shop. Multiple purchases always get a little leeway AND, once in a while, I tuck in a little something extra for the journey.

Just a reminder, what is in my shop is but a very small example so if you are looking for something specific or have an idea in your mind of what you would like to see, please let me know. For example, linens, aprons, kitchen linens...in addition to the clothing and accessories. I do venture deep within the racks and bins of the back room and oft forgotten closets (the trunks and the top shelves, too) to search for those special requests and will try to get representative items added for your selection.
Whether filming, photo shoots, theater, special events, decorating, staging, costuming or helping you to build your vintage wardrobe or collection, it may very well be that I have what you are looking for.
I've sold to wardrobe directors for both film and theater, museums, photographers and costume departments, to name a few.
Love sharing my vintage clothing, artifacts, and favorites. More to be added, so stop by often! Please don't hesitate even for a moment if you have questions, suggestions, great stories, requests, or just a simple wave and cheery "Hello". Many thanks for all of your wonderful and creative inspirations.

As most are well aware, now, the US post office keeps upping their pricing. Soooo, if I under estimate on international, I will cover the overage. If I over estimate (by more than 1-2 dollars) I will certainly refund the overage. Until I get this all figured out, let's say I will be somewhat winging it!
Bear with me, Loves. We can work this out!!

About

Vintage Clothing and Various Sundries: Artifacts of Memories and Times Past

Surrounded by projects in various stages of creation, and with rooms and closets and boxes and trunks full of artifacts, I sometimes regroup in the kitchen and channel my creativity into cooking. And, vintage clothing lives with me. I've been wearing, collecting, buying and selling vintage clothing for a few decades. Along the way, I've amassed quite a stockpile of vintage linens, jewelry, and other related sundries.

There are so many wonderful things, which have history, that have survived the years still intact, and often like new. They should be preserved and loved, worn and flaunted, displayed and shared, and continue being a part of life's memories.

Along my journey, I've amassed quite a stockpile of vintage clothing (along with other various sundries). Slowly, I'm downsizing, keeping only a small collection. The rest are offered in Recycling the Blues to be loved, displayed, worn and flaunted!

I will reserve an item, and will consider layaways. However, if you are reserving an item, please give me an estimated date of payment, and stay in touch if there're any changes.
Shipping
I try to ship within three business days upon receipt of payment. Please let me know if you require something within a particular time frame, or if you wish me to delay shipping until a particular date. I ship via USPS. Domestic is Media rate for books, usually priority but sometimes parcel post or first class for clothing and other vintage items (depending on size, weight and destination). International shipping is usually via USPS First Class International. If you require tracking, insurance and/or registration, please contact me prior to purchasing so that I can change the shipping rate.

I will consider returns on a case by case basis. For vintage clothing, I provide measurements. If you have ANY question about the measurements, or wish additional measurements, please ask in advance. Absolutely no "Buy it to Try it". My return policy is that I will accept return for purchase price ONLY. Not shipping (either way). If we agree a return is warranted, please understand an expedient return is required and the item must be returned in the same condition as it was when purchased. If the item is returned with damage, there will be no refund or a partial refund, depending upon the condition.
Please read my additional information policy and feel free to convo me with any questions.
Additional policies and FAQs
Many of you know that a 50 year old frock, plus or minus a few years, is not new and that previous owners may have worn a variety of perfumes, hung out in bars, smoked, drank scotch, fine wines, attended wild parties or subdued get togethers, had pets, had affairs...well, you know what I mean. If I have an item cleaned or laundered, I will note it in my description. If you are extremely sensitive or have particular allergies, please message me prior to purchase. Keep in mind that my nose may not be as sensitive as yours. And, vintage clothing, even if it has original tags, has been either in a box, a storage room, a long time closed shop, or a closet for many years. Even with tags, it is still vintage.
I try to maintain reasonable pricing in my shop. Without live models or professional photography I am able to offer many if not most of my vintage clothing items at pricing 30-60% less than you might find elsewhere. I believe that also allows room for any dry cleaning, laundering (if required) minor repairs or alterations. For multiple purchases, I will consider discounts on a case by case basis.
