This isn't going to be your typical review. But I hope by the end of it, you will be compelled to do business with Patti of RedPaw. The ring was stunning and very well crafted, it was also carefully and lovingly packaged, and shipped rapidly. Unfortunately, and ultimately, it did not suit my needs and I had to return it. Patti accepted the return graciously, and issued a full refund for the cost of the ring as soon as she received it. There was absolutely no hassle. I would do business with her again in a heartbeat, and definitely recommend her.

This is a most remarkable Fordite ring. It has been expertly crafted into a beautiful conversation piece. The brightly colored paint hides a "monster face," which one can't help noticing once it is observed. I love this ring, especially because I can wear it alongside another Fordite ring with similar colors that Patti custom made for me which hides a "ghost" figure. And I won't be waiting until Halloween to wear them. Thanks, Patti, for finding such unique Fordite paint patterns and making them into great pieces of jewelry.

Of course I had to have this ring to complement the pendant. The combination of the bright blue turquoise with the browns in the Petoskey stone (lots of visual interest for such a small stone, too) look beautiful together and they are set in one of my favorite of Patti's signature settings, my first with the smoky patina on the nu gold brass. The metal color perfectly sets off the color contrasts of the two stones. Love it! Patti, I am running out of room to store all of your jewelry.

I've had my eye on this spectacular pendant for awhile and finally decided to purchase it, before it disappeared at one of Patti's art shows. The Petoskey stone is very high grade, with lots of visual detail. The setting complements the stone beautifully, especially with the bright blue turquoise at the top. This pendant is a real showstopper and I know I will receive many compliments when I wear it. It is simply a gorgeous piece of wearable art. Thanks, again, Patti!

About

Painter becomes Metalsmith!

First off, I must say, that I am extremely passionate about what I do! Each and every piece is a one of a kind created with love. I am careful not to force a design but rather just let it evolve. I believe in letting the creative subconscious flow.

Growing up I remember making jewelry, but I was focused on & went to school for Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture. It wasn't until some life changing experiences that I started down this path. Something about it felt right so I went back to school and learned the art of Metalsmithing. I discovered my love of working with metal. I try to take a class every year to learn new techniques & improve upon what I already know. I am a firm believer in evolving & growth. I hope to bring designs to the table that have never been seen before. I like the terms "cutting edge" and "outside of the box".

I am most grateful for those of you who appreciate handmade art. Without you I would not be able to live my dream! We are in this together! I feel like I owe you outstanding designs of the highest quality! I am most satisfied as an artist when I know that my jewelry brings someone joy. I hope to change the world a little bit by bringing out some smiles and inspiring beauty.

I've been showing/selling my work at Art Shows for many years now. I love meeting my customers & getting their feedback. Most of all I love to see the smiles on their faces when they try on my jewelry and feel beautiful. It's very rewarding for me!!!!

I absolutely love what I do & hope to spread my joy to you, the customer. Each and every piece I make is instilled with the positive energy I have for what I do. I want to thank you for supporting a small artist like me. You allow for me to live my dream of creating every day. I am so grateful to you!!!

Thank you so much!

First off, I must say, that I am extremely passionate about what I do! I absolutely love working with metal & gems and hope to spread my joy to you through my work. Each and every piece is a one of a kind work created with love and instilled with positive energy. I am careful not to force a design but rather just let it evolve. I believe in letting the creative subconscious flow.

ALL HANDMADE!
Just so you know...ALL my pieces are made with my own two hands. All the metal is sawed out by hand. Parts are all soldered together. I spend a lot of time finding the most beautiful gemstones of the highest quality. Each piece is a one of a kind work. All designs are my own...sketched out for each piece. I take care with every design to create something of high quality that is very wearable.

I want to thank you for supporting a small artist like me. You allow for me to live my dream of creating every day. I am so grateful to you!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! :)

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
PAYMENT- Payment is due at the time of order unless worked out with me first. I accept PayPal, credit cards & etsy gift cards. I do accept Money Orders if you are not comfortable paying online. Money Orders must be received within one week of placing your order.

LAYAWAY/RESERVED ITEMS- I do offer a Layaway payment plan or can Reserve a piece for you. Usually at least 20% of the purchase price (non-refundable down payment) is required to hold the piece.

Okay, now all the rules! I am so sorry about this, but I need rules to protect me from the customers who take advantage of the Layaway process. Most customers are great....thank you & I love you guys! :)
Please purchase the Down Payment within 24 hours of me listing it and contacting you with the listing or I will put it back for sale. Shipping costs are paid with the down payment unless you let me know and you can pay the shipping later.
Payments must be made up to 1 month of each other unless we have scheduled otherwise. I am willing to work with you on payments, I understand being on a budget.
*** All Down Payments are non-refundable.
*All payments made are forfeited and non-refundable if you cancel an order after 3 months from the first payment or down payment date. If you have not made a payment or contacted me to make other payment arrangements after one month I will cancel the sale and all payments are forfeited.
You may only reserve an item on layaway at the original price. No coupon codes or sale discounts can be applied to your payments or toward the original price at the time of reserving it.
***Due to problems I've had with late Layaway payments if you have not made a payment for 3 months I will cancel the order, put the item(s) back out for sale, and you forfeit ALL payments made.
I am sorry for all the rules, but Layaway is a privilege that unfortunately is abused by some. I really want to keep offering this privilege because most customers are so gracious and happy to have this option for payment.
Thank you!

CUSTOM ORDERS- I am open to custom orders. I will quote you a price on your piece. If you are agreeable and would like me to start your design full payment is required before I start work. I'm sorry there are no refunds or exchanges on custom
pieces.

CANCELING an Order- If you want to cancel your order please let me know right away as I ship out orders quickly. If I have already purchased your shipping labels and packaged your item for shipment you will be responsible to pay the shipping cost and a processing/restocking fee of $5. If your package has already been shipped/picked up by the mail carrier I can no longer process a cancellation/refund until I receive the item back. Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees.

COUPON CODES- Are sometimes given out as a thank you for your purchase. Coupon codes cannot be used toward Layaway Payments, Down Payments, or on Custom Orders.
Thank you!

Shipping
* Please make sure your Etsy account has your correct address.

I ship asap after payment goes through. Usually the next day -always within 5 days. Unless it is custom work it may take a bit longer. If you would like to speed up the shipping just let me know & we'll arrange it!

DOMESTIC ORDERS: I ship First Class with tracking on all purchases in the United States. * Insurance is included on orders over $100 shipped within the United States. If your order is under $100 & you would like insurance please let me know & I will quote you a price. *** It is the buyer's responsibility to purchase insurance for their package if the item is less than $100 or for an item being shipped back to me. UPDATE: I often insure items that are close to, but under $100. If you want to make sure that I do insure an item, just ask. :) I am sorry, but I am not responsible for Lost or Stolen packages.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
International orders will be shipped via USPS First Class with insurance and tracking on orders over $100. Some countries use this number for tracking and others do not. If your order is under $100 and you would like to add insurance to your purchase contact me prior to checkout and I will add the insurance and extra postage cost to your order. *** I often insure items that are close to, but still under $100. If you want to make sure that I do insure an item, just ask. :) *I'm sorry, but I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

* International buyers are responsible for all custom fees. Once I pay for the shipping on my end, the rest of the fees are your responsibility. All custom forms will be documented with accurate value of the jewelry being mailed. It is against the law to mark an item as a gift. Thank you.

*****International Buyers~ If your order is over $400 (including shipping cost) or weighs over 1 pound I am unable to ship your package First Class as I normally do & must ship it Priority. The good news is that you will receive your package quicker. The bad news is that the shipping costs are usually higher than what I charge in the listing. There is no way of my knowing in advance & altering the shipping rates to accommodate an order $400 or over (because I don't know if an item will be purchased alone or with another item totaling over $400). So, having said that, I might have to charge you the extra shipping after your order is complete. If that is the case, I will first ask you if you are okay with the additional shipping charges. If not, we can cancel the order with no fees to you. If you are okay with the additional shipping charge I will invoice you depending on what form of payment you used to checkout. Thank you for understanding! :)
Refunds and Exchanges
Your satisfaction is very important to me! If for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase after receiving it, contact me right away and we will come to a resolution together.

***My goal is to make sure that you are happy. My policies are in place to make sure that the ultimate resolution is fair to both of us. :)

If you would like to return your item Please contact me within 3 days of receipt and we can agree upon an exchange, store credit, or refund. If I don't hear from you within 3 days of receiving the item I can no longer accept a return. *During the Holidays I can make an exception to this policy if the jewelry has been given as a gift. All shipping costs are the buyers responsibility. Item must be returned within 10 days of receiving it in original condition, carefully packaged, and insured. Refunds will be given when I receive the jewelry in it's original condition. All shipping costs are paid by the buyer.
*Refunds are handled on an individual basis. I have the right to refuse a return/refund. *All sales are final on Clearance jewelry.

If I don't receive the item within 10 days of you receiving it the item is longer able to be returned. Postal delays & International orders handled on an individual basis. Please package the jewelry carefully in a padded envelope or box.

*I require returned items be shipped with delivery confirmation and insurance.

If your jewelry doesn't fit I will size it free of charge , just pay the shipping!
**Sorry, no refunds or exchanges on Custom Orders, Layaway, Altered or Sized Items, Sale Items, Discounted Items, Made To Order, or Items that have been
Reserved.
Additional policies and FAQs
I guarantee all my work to last. If something breaks due to my workmanship, please let me know, and I will gladly fix it for you and pay for the return shipping.

I seal my patina treatments with a high grade sealant specifically used for patina on jewelry. After long term wear it is normal for the metals to oxidize (even though they are sealed) and the patina color may deepen and change sometimes exposing more of the true metal color. Keep your patina jewelry away from water (washing hands/shower), lotions and sprays, and do not use any chemical cleaners. Also, keeping you jewelry stored in an air tight plastic bag will help to prevent oxidation.

Buy with confidence! Again, my goal is to make you happy! That is my reward! Please let me know how you like your new piece. I really value your feedback & need your input to keep me going!! Thank you! :)
