Why are there only five stars? I could give these earrings ten and would still want more. they are such an incredible colour that I get lost in them every time I gaze at them. UNIQUE and impossible to do justice in words to the colours -- think of the clearest Greek sea with the water over clear sparkling sand is perhaps the closest I can get with my feeble and inadequate vocabulary.

Bracelet is gorgeous and made a wonderful gift. Marie-Louise was very helpful and accommodating in altering the length of the bracelet on my request and returning it to me promptly. Great Etsy seller :-)

An introduction to Marie-Louise

I was born in Switzerland and grew up in the apple and cherry growing region on the shores of Lake Constance. I'm the oldest of three girls, and I can remember as a small girl being extremely inquisitive how things like clocks, machines and other gadgets work.

To my mother's horror, I took apart a manual typewriter at the age of five. I made such a good job of it that my engineer father was not even able to put it together again.

By the time I was thirteen, my parents decided to emigrate to Australia as Switzerland was too cold according to my father. This in itself was a huge adventure for me as it was so far away and we were going by boat. The year was 1974 and we were going to buy a farm and have horses, a dream come true.

The farm was really a great stepping stone for creativity and freedom. As we had no brothers the three girls were constantly challenged doing a "man's job". We were always outside building things, maintaining fences and stockyards, and rounding up cattle on horseback.

We had the farm for a number of years and then my father decided to sell the farm and build a type of roadhouse/Swiss restaurant on the Pacific Highway on the far north coast of New South Wales. My mother is a superb cook and naturally she did all the cooking with the girls doing everything else. My father's contribution was parking attendant. The food was all Swiss recipes and people couldn't believe that there was a Swiss Restaurant on the highway in the middle of nowhere.

I could write a book about our experiences over the last forty years in this beautiful country called Australia. On reflection I had rather a pioneering upbringing which has given me perseverance and self belief that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. My motto in life is "why wait".

Given my diverse upbringing, I've always been good with my hands, especially with fiddly things such as dismantling a typewriter. I've been a keen knitter and dress-maker in my younger days; always needing a creative outlet in one way or another.

It was my mother who introduced me to the Venetian glass beads although I knew about Venetian glass vases, Chandeliers and mirrors. The beads were love at first sight. I think they are the most exquisite and beautiful beads ever, like jewels, with their sparkle and exquisite designs.

And again it was my mother who said that I should turn my fingers to making jewelry and to introduce people to these beautiful creations from Venice. And that's how my jewelry endeavour began in 2006.

Many ladies in Australia wear my Venetian glass and pearl creations. My Etsy shop, however, gives me the opportunity for my beautiful creations to be admired and worn internationally.

Happy browsing.

Items are ready to be shipped.

I will post the item(s) to your Etsy address which, in most cases, should be the same as your Paypal address.

All jewellery will be packaged well and sent in "Australia Post" Padded Bags.

I use Express Post within Australia for orders over $100 delivery is usually between 1 and 3 days depending on location. Standard Mail is used for orders under $100. This is to keep postage to minimum.

I use Australia Post Standard International Airmail for overseas orders. Delivery can take from 5 to 25 days depending on destination and customs clearance.

I try my best to predetermine postage charges for items going overseas.

Australia Post classes padded bags 20 mm thick and under as "letters" while padded bags over 20 mm in thickness are classed as "parcels". Letters and parcels differ considerably in postage from $2.60 for a letter, increasing to $18.00 and up for a parcel. This makes it quite difficult to accurately calculate postage on items until I have actually packed and mailed them. Therefore, in the event that I have charged you too much postage once I've posted item(s), I will refund excess postage.

If you would like your jewellery sent by courier, please convo me before you purchase so that I can make alternative shipping arrangements and let you know which courier I'm sending your order with. Additional shipping charges might apply, but I will let you know before you purchase how much more.
Refunds and Exchanges
I have a seven day refund policy from the date you receive your jewellery. This means that if you're not happy with you purchase for whatever reason, you can return it in the original packaging using the same method of shipping that I sent it to you. Once I have received returned jewelry in the condition I have sent it to you, I will refund your purchase price. However return postage is at your cost.

Please let me now by way of Etsy Convo that your sending jewellery back so that I'm aware it's being returned.

If you receive your order damaged, please convo me immediately so that we can work together to resolve this issue, either repairing damaged jewelry or a refund.

If you have not received your jewelry after a reasonable time (see Delivery Policy), please convo me in the first instance, so that I can make enquiries and see what has happened to your order. If all investigations fail to locate the package, I will refund purchase price and shipping cost.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please take note of the jewelry's measurements before you purchase.

To make sure the bracelet fits your wrist, cut a string to the given measurement above and put that around your wrist. This will give you an indication of the the bracelets size and that it will fit you.

The same method can be applied to necklaces or measure another necklace that you already have. This is more relevant for short necklaces and chokers that measure 39.5 cm 5 - 42 cm (approx. 15.5" to 16.5").

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always ready to help and make your Etsy shopping experience a good one.

Many people are not aware of the differences between "gold-filled" and "gold-plated" jewelry. Basically, Gold-Filled jewelry is of a higher quality. It is also sometimes referred to as "Rolled Gold". Any Gold-Filled item is regulated by the government (as is solid gold) and must be at least 5% gold by weight. The gold is bonded to the base metal with heat and pressure. The base metal is also gold in color and is made up of almost the same mixture of metals (usually a brass alloy) used to bring 24kt gold down to 14kt, 10kt, etc. The exterior of the product is solid 14 kt gold and everything you can see or touch is a solid layer of 14 kt gold. This is why it will never tarnish, chip or wear off. The gold layer is approximately 100 times thicker than gold-plate and is bonded with heat and pressure.

Gold-Plate, on the other hand, is a microscopic film of gold particles that have been adhered to most any kind of base metal by means of an electroplating (or dipping) process. Gold-Plate is often sold as "gold-filled" (against regulation) or is often called other things such as "gold-overlay" in order to mislead the consumer. It is often difficult to initially see the difference between gold-filled and gold-plate jewelry. However, due to the gold particles, gold-plate has the tendency to chip, flake, and wear off.

Gold-filled jewelry is economical & durable -- you enjoy the look and feel of gold at a fraction of the cost.
