My love affair with wool

I have always had a love of art. One day a few years ago, I was perusing Pintrest when I came across the cutest little lion I had ever seen!
I wanted him, I HAD to have him.. but sadly he was gone. So, I did what any good crafter would do, and said "I can make that!"
I was so intrigued by this little creature, he looked so soft, and I just couldn't get his little mane out of my head.
After about three months I finally decided that I was going to try my hand at needle felting. After all, what was the worst that could happen? A needle stick or two? I started with a kit of a hedgehog, and that was it for me... I was hooked.
The following week I went to visit one of our local wool supply stores. When I walked into their supply room my eyes were flooded with every color I could imagine. I had ideas coming to me in my sleep and couldn't wait to sculpt them out of wool. From that point on I have spent every possible moment "stabbing" ( as that's what the people around me call it) 100% hand dyed, local wool into the fabulous little creatures, and wool paintings I make. I have found my "dream job" and couldn't be happier.
