Handmade items by partners AmberRose and Branden at the beaches of the Outer Banks, NC. Inspiration ranges from Native American to the myths of old. While most our creations are done "as the spirit strikes", we love a challenge so feel welcome to ask us about custom work!

Giggles is adorable, and I am delighted to welcome all three of my wights as new family! They all traveled in pretty fabric gift pouches, and were shipped VERY fast! Thank you!

About

Pushing the limits of whatever medium we can.

The shop was started after a long time of dreaming.

Amber and Branden are both from Western Pennsylvania, though they were in their mid 20's when they finally met. Both had focused on the Fine Arts during college; Amber for Visual Communications at IADT and Branden for Sculpture at Clarion U. They had always dreamed of being able to sell their work, but the busy atmosphere of being outside of Pittsburgh left little time to explore the arts.

After what friends and family considered a rash decision, Amber and Branden moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to a little fishing village that is a short drive from the famous Hatteras Lighthouse. While the summer months hold as much chaos as being close to the city, the winter months provide nothing but solitude and free time.

Branden discovered the versatility of soapstone while Amber learned traditional crafts from her position at the Frisco Native American Museum. The museum also offered the both of them to explore their native heritage during the yearly Powwow and further expand their knowledge of different mediums.

Eventually, they began to vend at the Powwow and a few shows around the area...the dream started to materialize.

A perfect match, the two of them seem to balance out in just about every way. Amber does most of the graphics, detailed painting, and jewelry while Branden works with the majority of the construction for displays, sculpture, and more abstract pieces.

It was shortly after that the Red Tail Arts shop came into being. The winter solitude allowed them to both dive into their creative spirit and Etsy gave the flexibility for the busy months. Both of their art has blossomed into new creations and they are hoping to eventually start a studio where they can invite others to share their creativity and assist in educating others. You can now find their work in several galleries and it is growing every year!

  • Amber Rose

    Owner, Designer, Painter Of Feathers

I've always had an interest in art ever since I could hold a crayon. As the years went on, my skills evolved from coloring in the lines, to painting, carving, and jewelry making. I'm always looking to push my skills with different styles and material

  • Branden Kadunce

    Designer, Sculptor Of Creatures

Always taking little things found on walks, Branden creates wonderful pieces out of just about anything. From stone, to clay, to broken bits of metal found along walks; he is always trying to create something from nothing.

Hello There!

Art and spirituality go hand and hand. From small fetish carvings of ancient man to the cathedrals of today.

In regards to the Native American style of work. I am descendant from a tribe in French Canada, but do not currently have tribal enrollment. So these are not to be considered "Traditional Native Craft"; though much of my inspiration stems from that part of my heritage.

Additional policies and FAQs
I do take custom orders and commissions. Please understand these will have a longer time before shipping because of the individual nature of the work, and the time will vary on what is being ordered. Though I will be honest with you so you have a time frame before completing the order with me.

Any commissioned paintings, I prefer to discuss what exactly you would like including references if possible, so I can get a clear idea. I will not directly copy the work of another artist unless given written permission due to copyrighting.

I love being creative, and I love a challenge. So if you have an idea that you want done, let me know and I'll see what I can do!
