I think of my artwork as a record of my feelings, subconscious and ideas. I am passionate about many things in the world and I get a pleasure from trying to authentically and sincerely depict all that I experience. I was an Aerospace Engineer by trade (now retired) and have received Black Belts in seven different Martial Art disciplines, but Art has always just been the most important part of me, no matter what else is going on Art has been my muse.

My work always includes personal subjects and themes, and uses the objects and scenes around me to express those emotional ideas. My soul expresses itself by portraying a scene, an object, an image and then modifying it to express my visceral self and inner dialog. For me, there must be a connection between the subject matter of a Artwork I’m creating and my feelings and attitudes about that subject. In general, I strive to be more expressive and thoughtful about my work.
