Well made, and so pretty! Also very light and easy to wear. I love the way the discs tinkle together and catch the light when I move. Definitely makes you feel fancy.

About

Simple jewelry with a Western touch.

In 2008 I wanted to give my sisters something fun and unique for Christmas. A co-worker made jewelry and suggested I make them some pieces. She showed me a few of the basics and I then crafted several pieces for my siblings. I was hooked!

Art class was always my favorite during my school years and I often did crafting projects on the weekends. Jewelry fit right in with my desire to use my hands to create.

I am now a stay-at-home-mom of two children. My husband and I own and operate a cattle ranch on the vast open prairies of South Dakota. I opened this shop in the summer of 2011 as a way to step into the world of art and fashion, something missing between changing diapers and taking care of livestock. During down times of the day I love to escape down to my little studio and create.

I spend a lot of time thinking, reflecting, and analyzing. I pay attention to detail. I function well with structure and neatness. I like to understand how something works, why something is.

Before crafting a piece of jewelry, I've spent much time thinking about it. What gemstones to put in, how it should look when presented on a person, what the final project should look like. Each semi-precious gemstone is hand selected with much attention to it's placement in the piece.

I enjoy refinement with some added rustic touches. I like to implement a little of the western lifestyle in my pieces while keeping them classy and simple.

I've spent most of my life living in urban settings such as Chicago, but struggling to really fitting in. After getting married and moving to the wide open spaces of rural living it took a little time for me to get used to it and now I would never go back. I love my chickens and horses, they're the best neiiigh-bors (haha.... ;)).

I thoroughly enjoy a good hike or canoeing adventure, a great book, and the perfect glass of wine. I am a foodie, photographer (my other job) and self proclaimed cowgirl (rounding up a herd of cattle is so much more enjoyable than sitting in a traffic jam :)).

I came up with the name for my shop after hearing the following quote during a Bible study:
"Art is a reflection of God's creativity, an evidence that we were made in the image of God." ~Francis Schaeffer

I am a believer in Jesus Christ. It is for Him that I ultimately live and breath. My greatest desire is that I will be a reflection of Him.

Hi! Welcome to Reflected Art.
In my home studio I love to create natural pieces of jewelry from semi-precious gemstones and hammered work.
I am very selective about the quality of each gemstone and only purchase from reputable distributors.
I prefer using sterling silver in my pieces as the quality is long lasting and dependable.
To keep some of my jewelry at more affordable prices for the consumer, I do sometimes use silver plated brass and pewter. In the description of each jewelry piece I have listed the specifics of each material used.

I have always loved photography and crafting. I put much thought into the designs of each piece and thoroughly enjoy the creating process. I hope that you find as much joy in my work as I did in creating them!

I came up with my shop name from the following quote by Francis Shaeffer: "Art is a reflection of God's creativity, an evidence that we were made in the image of God."
