About ReggioBaby

Sales 749
On Etsy since 2017

These toys have been to school, and really love it there!

Each unique product in this shop has been through a prototype process that has been tried, tested, explored, and REALLY loved by real infants and toddlers at an amazing early childhood center interested in including beautiful, handmade materials and unique provocations in their classrooms over the past four years. Likewise, these products have been carefully observed, inspected, washed, and critiqued by real educators, teachers, and parents who are willing to get messy and learn along side our babies.

Why ReggioBaby? We believe in the early introduction of a multitude of materials to promote problem solving, the love of learning, and early mastery of material processes. We are greatly inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of early education, and hope to extend the 100 languages of potential to our babies.

"No way. The hundred is there.

The child
is made of one hundred.
The child has
a hundred languages
a hundred hands
a hundred thoughts
a hundred ways of thinking
of playing, of speaking.

A hundred always a hundred
ways of listening
of marveling, of loving
a hundred joys
for singing and understanding
a hundred worlds
to discover
a hundred worlds
to invent
a hundred worlds
to dream."

-Excerpt from the poem "A Hundred Languages," by Loris Malaguzzi founder of the Reggio Emilia Approach.

Frequently asked questions
Adult Supervision

While the products I sell are held in my highest confidence to be safe for our youngest explorers, infants and toddlers should explore with an adult present.

Pets and Siblings

These products are tried and tested to be chewable, mouthable, and well loved by infants and toddlers. These products are NOT puppy proof, kitty proof, [insert animal] proof, or curious preschooler with scissors proof. Please closely inspect these products for any unexpected wear and tear if you live with any of the aforementioned before your LO explores to ensure the treasures stay safely inside.
