Shop policies
I have two basic types of items in this shop: the ones you see for sale, in stock, and custom orders (which you usually can't see) for similar, but unique, items made to your specifications. If you don't see what you're looking for, but think I could make it, just ask.
I love custom orders! See 'additional information' for custom order procedures and policies.

Returns and exchanges
If an item is damaged in transit, it is certainly not your fault, nor is it mine; however, I know how disappointing it is to have something I was looking forward to arrive damaged. If this happens, please contact me through Etsy to arrange to send me images of the packaging and the item itself as soon as you get it. If the shipping box looks damaged, take a photo before opening it, just to be sure. I may be able to repair or replace the item; if that is possible, I will do so for the cost of shipping plus 25% of the original item price (minor repairs may cost less by arrangement). For repairs, the buyer is responsible for any costs to ship the item back to me, and it must be packaged for safety in the materials I shipped it in and a new shipping box to prevent further damage. In case of damage after you receive your order (due to marauding three-year-olds or other agents of chaos), please contact me through Etsy for repairs. Some of the items I make are quite delicate and require careful handling; please take common-sense precautions to avoid damage.
As with items damaged in transit, I cannot replace lost, stolen, or inexplicably missing items or orders for free. I ship using USPS Priority Mail, which provides me with delivery confirmation. I will notify you through Etsy when the USPS tells me your order has been delivered. If you wish to include additional shipping services (such as insurance), you may do so at your own cost if we make such arrangements in advance. Should some rotten circumstance cause an item to be lost before it reaches you, I am willing (given evidence, such as USPS failure to deliver or a copy of a filed police report) to make arrangements to replace it at a discount. I must hear from you through Etsy within 5 days of shipment to make such arrangements.
Payment
I happily accept PayPal or credit cards, these methods guarantee both you and I will have a clear record of any purchase. However, if you are unable to use PayPal or a credit card for some reason, I am also willing to accept money orders or personal checks.
If, for any reason, you need to cancel any item or items in your order, I must be notified before I tell you that I have begun work on it. Once I have begun work, I cannot issue a refund on a cancelled order.
The prices listed include any applicable U.S. taxes. International buyers: Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
Shipping
Orders from outside the United States ship by USPS International Priority Mail; multiple items can be shipped together (see above). Please note that international buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
Some small orders can be shipped in padded mailers or even standard envelopes; if this is the case, it will say so on the item description.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom work will involve custom pricing, so payment cannot be sent before the planning stage is finished. Once the planning is done and we've agreed on the details, I will post a custom item listing for your item(s) with a placeholder image, so that you can send payment. When your payment clears, I'll begin work, and as soon as I'm done, I'll let you know and post images of the finished item(s). If there are any changes you need (for example, if I forgot some detail or misunderstood some part of the agreed-on directions), contact me immediately through Etsy so I can make it right. Otherwise, send me a message that it is OK to ship, and I will do so, and let you know when it has been sent.
If for any reason there is a delay with your order, I will contact you through Etsy with a revised timeline for completion. In case of a delay of over 3 weeks (21 calendar days) from the date when I contact you to let you know I have started, I will refund your money if you message me through Etsy requesting that I do so. This really shouldn't happen, but in a perfect world, none of us would ever get sick or experience equipment failure (for example)... so I have a policy for it, just in case. I dearly hope I'll never need it.
