About Remtique........

As a lifelong pack rat, born in the Mid Century Modern era to a lifelong packrat, who was born in the Twenties ... my home began to look like Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, filled with a hodgepodge of decorative arts & housewares, while my closets, drawers and trinket boxes were overflowing with the vintage fashions, accessories and jewelry I had accumulated over the years. It was time to downsize, and so I ventured online to find new homes for my vintage treasures. Remtique originated from my reminiscing about times past while going through some trunks and cabinets, and realizing how many items that were vintage during my own childhood are now antiques!

Recycling and re-purposing are core values in my life, to protect the environment, as well as to maintain the life of vintage treasures. Vintage (especially Art Deco and Mid Century Modern) is still the major source of my own housewares, home decor, clothing and jewelry, for the quality, craftsmanship and design of those items. I ♥ Vintage!

Thanks for visiting Remtique on Etsy and please do let me know if you need any assistance. I know how valuable personal service is. I offer my vintage and handmade items priced to sell, most at well below original or current market cost, but am still willing to consider reasonable offers.

I have been a collector of vintage since I was a little girl during the 1950s, thanks to my Mom, who introduced me to the joy of treasure hunts for amazing things. Remtique offers some of my collections as I downsize, with much more to follow!

Additional policies and FAQs

My items are Vintage (20+ years) and so not new. Normal wear is characteristic of vintage items. I attempt to describe items accurately and so any damage or obviously noticeable wear or flaws are clearly documented in my listing descriptions and photographs.

Glassware from the Art Deco-Depression era has characteristic air bubbles and what are known as "strawmarks". This is not considered damage, rather part of the documented manufacturing processes of that era.
Similarly, vintage handmade pottery, like jasperware, can have undulations, color variations and some minor pitting. This is a recognized part of the manufacturing process and not damage.
