Announcement   At Rendered Impressions, you will find a collection of original fine art oil paintings with a focus on plein air landscapes and alla prima still life's. Every painting is an original, one of a kind work of art. It's important to me to offer only my original paintings as I think the experience with an original work of art is very rewarding.

I chose the name Rendered Impressions for my shop because I think it describes what I do as a painter. I "render impressions" and my experience with the subject.

The following quote speaks to my hope in giving as an artist and painter.
"When we feel most alone, most abandoned and out of sorts, the simple forms of beauty can remind our eyes of the worlds unity, and our place with in it." Anonymous

Many of the landscape scenes feature areas in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Almost all my landscape paintings are done "en plein air" which is French and means "in the open air". This was a popular form of painting during the Impressionist movement where the artists hope was to capture the moment and natural light within that.

Painting "en plein air" is one of my favorite ways to paint. It is challenging but I feel it allows me to bring something extra to the canvas. Many of the landscapes include water, reflections or pathways to somewhere which is a reflection of my journey as an artist.

I also love painting still life's of flowers, fruit, vegetables and other objects that I am inspired by. I tend to focus on these during the winter when going outside isn't as easy. Although I still bundle up and venture out from time to time in the cold with gloves, scarf and hot chocolate!

It's great to have you visit and I hope you consider the gift of art as part of your gift giving repertoire. There are many special moments and opportunities to give an original painting as an expression of your love and gratitude. I hope you look around and find that special something here.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thank you!

Another masterpiece from one of my favorite artists! This is all the most astounding considering it's small size. Yet the amount of light that glows from this tiny painting is extraordinary. I will treasure it always. this is an artist to be admired and followed.

Plein air painting inspiration! This is the color garden in the small landscape painting I am showing in my shop.

How it all began one summer morning standing inside this barn with rain teeming outside. All was quiet otherwise, and I began to paint. Truly a magical experience and I didn't expect the barn to be open, but there it was!

About

The Evolution of a Painter

My shop started as a way to share my paintings and put myself "out there".

Over the past few years I have been enjoying the process of re-training myself as an artist/painter. This is something I loved so much in college as I pursued art as a major.

It's been through personal loss that I have become more aware of the creator in me and her constant voice. Equally pivotal has been learning how to face the fear that kept me from fully listening to the artist inside. Maybe that's part of the aging process...I'm not really sure and I guess it doesn't really matter because I am listening now and taking a risk on a heart felt passion.

Etsy has been one way for me to explore and develop myself. Sharing my paintings and artwork here is an opportunity to affirm my creative voice and honor the painter inside. Entering shows and exhibits are alternative venues where I explore the same.

Mindful that my growth is contingent upon challenging my comfort zone and trusting the process that comes with sharing my work whether people resonate with it or not keeps me in the moment and moving forward.

Right now, I enjoy the intimacy of the small size paintings. I have some larger works that are more contemporary in my closet for another day. And I know there are more large scale paintings coming but I wait for the inner timing of those.

Working from life is a priority whether its a landscape, figure or still life. Freeing myself from a specific subject or "style" helps me tap into rendering paintings that seem to fit me, the subject and my experience with it at the moment.

This is a journey centered in love so I try to stay mindful of listening and being led. When I can do that the experience of painting teaches me so much about myself and about life. Perhaps at the core that's why I feel the need to do it.

Please keep coming back. I'm just getting started. Thank you!

Welcome to Rendered Impressions!

Looking for a unique gift? Consider the gift of an oil painting.

All of the artwork you see here is original. Most of my listings are oil paintings unless otherwise noted in the description and you will find a range of sizes.

I am pleased to have you here and welcome questions if you have them.

This is an exciting expedition for me and a wonderful opportunity to share my voice in a visually creative way with you. As a creative spirit I enjoy many artistic venues, however my most heart felt passion is painting.

Most of my paintings are done on "standard" size canvas or panels. Many I choose to paint on "Gallery Wrapped Canvas" where I pay attention to painting the sides as part of the entire picture. In this way the paintings may be hung without the need for a frame. Of course that is always an option for you once you have the piece.

Drawings are matted in a standard size as well so that you can purchase a stock frame from your local art/craft store and walk away with a beautiful piece of art.

Commission Paintings: If you are interested in something special, such as a landscape from a photograph you have taken etc. please contact me for further information.

**Note: I reserve the right to use images of any and all of my paintings and drawings as part of my professional portfolio.
