About

Rehome + Reuse

The goal of my shop is for each piece to be rehomed & reused. In my own home I was consuming and wasting way more than one person should. Material things were not adding value to my life as I perceived they would before purchasing. I watched a documentary, The True Cost for the second time. I don't know why it took watching it twice, yet the second viewing really impacted me. That is what a great documentary will do for you if you're ready. I really thought about how "fast fashion" was effecting our world and me as a consumer. I was buying way more inexpensive possessions than I could ever need and for no reason whatsoever. I wasn't appreciating what I was buying and most if it didn't last. So I did a lot of research about the waste we as humans are making on our planet, and my own stuffed trashcans. I found out a lot about myself and I'm still learning...So the idea of slow fashion, ethical shopping, mindful consumption and buying secondhand has been part of my new habits. I reopened my vintage shop which was once Renee Vintage since it is very important to me to support shopping secondhand. I changed the name to Quest & Cloth as this is more reflective of my current path. I'm on a quest for change, to better myself and to find honest sources of production. The majority of my Vintage finds are American Made Goods. In the past it was not hard to find products made in the United States, now this is not the case. I would love for that to change... Our daughter P. is my inspiration! Thank you for stopping by! xx Holly
