2016 arbeitete ich als Beleuchter an der ersten Staffel von Oprahs „Greenleaf“. In einer Folge erschoss ein schwarzer Polizist einen jungen schwarzen Jungen. Bischof James Greenleaf, gespielt von Keith David, hielt eine so kraftvolle und inspirierende Rede, dass sie mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf ging. Ich entwarf ein T-Shirt, das von dieser Rede inspiriert war. Ich trug es am Set, und Keith David fragte mich, was ich da anhabe. Ich sagte ihm, dass ich ständig an seine Rede denken müsse. Er fragte, wo denn sein T-Shirt sei. Also ließ ich 100 T-Shirts bedrucken und verteilte sie kostenlos am Set an Cast und Crew. Das war der bescheidene Anfang meiner T-Shirt-Design-Karriere und der Gründung von „Repent Agenda“.
Back in 2016 I was working on Oprah's Greenleaf Season 1 as a company grip. There was an episode where a black police officer shot a young black boy. The Bishop James Greenleaf played by Keith David, gave such a powerful inspiring speech. I couldn't get it out of my head. I made one t-shirt for myself inspired by this speech. I wore it to set, and Keith David asked me what I was wearing...I told him I couldn't stop thinking about the speech he gave. He said where is his t-shirt? So, I paid and got 100 t-shirts printed and gave them out for FREE on set to cast and crew. This is the humble beginnings of designing t-shirt and creating Repent Agenda.
