Announcement   Hey there! Thanks for stopping by-- I hope you love your purchase from Republica Unicornia!

A couple of important notes before you go to town and buy all the things (I assume that's what you're doing here.)

Everything you see here is made by me with love and some swearing in fabulous Atlanta, Georgia. Yarn is ethically-sourced (museling-free) and dyed with professional, colorfast, lightfast acid dyes.

Items marked ready-to-ship are just that, and I'll get them out ASAP.

Items marked dyed-to-order have a turnaround time of 14 business days before shipping.

Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, I recommend that you alternate skeins in larger projects. There are often variations even within the same dyelot, so if you need a larger quantity (say, for a sweater), let me know and we will work it out.

Some color bleeding is normal during the first couple of washes. I wash the bejebus out of my skeins, but some colors are just bleeders.

Your handmade items are magical delicate flowers and should be treated as such. Wash in cool water with a delicate detergent and lay flat to dry. Machine wash at your own risk (I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your project during machine washing. Those things are violent.)

All items are made in a smoke-free home that is run by two cats. Items are stored in plastic bags, but cat hair is like glitter and it gets everywhere. If you have severe cat allergies, you may want to buy with some caution.

If you have a problem with or a question about your purchase, please contact me directly. I'm a reasonable human being.

Thanks for letting me say my piece.

And thank you for supporting Republica Unicornia!

About

Hey there! I'm Kathleen and I make stuff. Here at Republica Unicornia, you'll find hand-dyed yarns and fun print project bags. I started dyeing yarn for the simple reason that I really love knitting with hand-dyed yarn, and I started making project bags because I just couldn't find enough project bags that featured unicorns/sea creatures/food. I was the kid who had to have the biggest box of crayons they made because I wanted to use all the colors, and I've continued that into adulthood.

"Republica Unicornia" is what my husband calls our home-- he sees our space as a magical, creative place where people can be themselves. I hope to extend that to all of y'all through the things you see here! (Also, let's just be honest- unicorns are great).
