RescuedFabrics' Shop Policies
I live in central Ohio, an area with many well-stocked thrift stores that support charitable organizations, lots of auction houses, and numerous garage sales run churches and other fundraising organizations. I love to shop for a bargain. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt--finding useful things that someone else has discarded, especially when I can support worthwhile causes at the same time. Unfortunately, I can't use all of the things I find myself, so I'm selling them here.
When I deconstruct a skirt for the fabulous vintage wool fabric, unravel a tired, out of date sweater, or tear out the old worn lining from a pair of drapes, I truly feel as if I am rescuing the fabric and the fibers. When I cut the good parts out of a worn quilt, I'm rescuing beautiful hand stitching--hours of tedious work--and giving it new life. There is nothing more satisfying.
I'm particular to natural fibers, funky vintage prints, and wool felt.
Enjoy browsing my shop and come back often!
