About

Creating a life, one stitch at a time.

My name is Memory, and I have been selling my clothing since the summer of 2004. My daughter was six months old, and, I knew I didn't want to put her in daycare. Selling wearable art seemed like a great way to be there for her, and to support the both of us. As time went on, I fell in love and our little family grew. In the fall of 2006, with the love and support of my amazing husband, I registered my business and launched this website, which is a never ending work in progress. The entire journey has been absolutely amazing and so educational.
What began as a "make ends meet" venture has turned me into a full time artesian, and given me new appreciation for all the handcrafted items in the world. It also allows me fully enjoy my family life, and always be available to them. I truly love what I do, and I love passing on one of a kind clothing to all kinds of wonderful people.
Some days as I peruse the local quilt shop I imagine kind souls dancing at a festival, and I pick each fabric to create the perfect piece of clothing to match the music, sunshine and good vibes.
Other times, my more serious side shows through and I get lost in a bucket of liquid color as I hand dye hemp and organic cottons right here in my mountain home. When they’re colored, washed and dried I stitch them up into new designs to further expand my ever growing clothing line. Each piece from my line will be custom dyed in the color of your choice, and sewn to your specific measurements. Find the perfect piece for a day at work or a night on the town.
If you love what I do, but don’t see something that’s quite what you want (or it’s just not your size), send me an email and we can work together to make it happen!
Regardless of the fabric or my creative whims, all my supplies are purchased with the environment, fair trade, and local businesses in mind. Hemp fabrics are purchased from a fair trade supplier. Quilters cottons are purchased from local, individually owned quilt shops. Finally, the dyes I use are permanent but low impact, so they are friendly to the environment.
I rely strongly on word of mouth and networking, so if you like what you see, please spread the word! If you are interested in staying updated, please join the mailing list or look me or my company up on one of the social networking sites listed above.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, and have an adventurous day!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Payment
Paypal payments should be received within 24 hours of purchase, money orders within 7 days. Thank you!
Shipping
* It is your responsibility to make sure your correct shipping address is in Paypal and Etsy. If you pay with PayPal, THIS IS THE ADDRESS I WILL SHIP TO. This is the ONLY address I will ship to. Please check your PayPal account to make sure your address is up to date before purchasing. If you pay via Etsy's direct checkout, then I will ship to the address listed in Etsy, and ONLY that address.

Depending on the physical size of the order, items will either be shipped via USPS priority mail, or USPS first class mail, but both ways will include a tracking/confirmation
number on the package.

***CUSTOM MADE TO ORDER HEMP ITEMS****

In an effort to conserve resources and keep costs down, beginning in January of 2014, fabric orders for hemp items will be placed on the first of the month. Items will then be made in the order that the orders were placed. There is a $30 NON-refundable fee if you would like to place a rush order. I'm not doing this to be a jerk. It costs as much to have one yard of fabric shipped to me as it does 10 yards. It just makes sense to consolidate those orders.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS

Sometimes international shipping rates thru USPS change, and I am unaware of these changes. If additional shipping is needed, I will contact you and send you an additional invoice. No one likes surprise bills (and I am not fond of sending them), so I will do my best to keep up with the changing rates to avoid having to request additional shipping fees from you.

I am happy to ship internationally. Shipping costs are for priority mail international, and good for the weight of one item. If you do not see your country listed, please ask and I am happy to send you a shipping quote. I declare all overseas items as "other" on the customs form, and you are responsible for import fees for your country. Please do not ask me to lie on customs forms. This is illegal, an as I'm sure you're a wonderful person, I'm still not willing to go to jail for you.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the individual nature of my work, all sales are final. There are no refunds on payments made for custom orders, deposits, payments made on a pre-arranged plan, or for items where additional shipping may be due (please see details concerning this under the "Shipping Policy" header. PLEASE read descriptions and check measurements carefully before purchasing. If you are unsure about anything, even a minor detail, PLEASE ASK! Thank you. :o)
Additional policies and FAQs
Fabrics are pre-washed, so the finished product will not shrink the first time you wash it.

I shop at local quilt shop's for my cottons whenever possible, and hemp and organic cotton blends purchased from a fair-trade supplier.

Items made from up cycled materials are of varying fiber contents, but I do describe these to the best of my ability.

The dyes I use are high quality, and chemically bond with the fibers for a rich, long lasting color that does not fade over time and will not bleed in the wash.

All seams are top stitched at stress points, and serged for a professional finish. Appliques are individually hand drawn, heat bonded and satin stitched.
