Using color’s healing energy to help strengthen our body, mind and soul is the focus of my work.

My name is Mary, a small business owner, nurse and artist. I work to develop designs which feature color that speaks to me and others in a spiritual and healing way.

I practiced as a professional nurse for 40 years and as a nurse practitioner for over 20 years, and witnessed the miraculous healing powers of color and color energy. My critically ill patients have responded positively to the light and warmth of the sun, the calmness of blue skies, and the subtle beauty of a sunset.

The power of light, color, and flow is realized in healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Vibrant color combinations inspire me, capturing the imagination and stimulating the inner “you”. Florence Nightingale is the pioneer of the nursing profession and founded and established the principles of nursing practice with which we use today. Among many principles she states that “ as little as we know about the way in which we are affected by form, by color, and light, we do know this, that they have an actual physical effect and the variety of form and brilliancy of color in the objects presented to patients are actual means of recovery.”

It is this principal that is the basis of my work. Color combinations are displayed on canvas, jewelry and fabric design. Consider these pieces as a treasure for yourself or for someone special in your life. Hopefully my artwork will touch you deeply as they do for me when I create.
