I never thought about owning a headband like this until I started biking in colder temperatures and a hat just wouldn't fit under my helmet. It keeps my ears and head surprisingly warm, despite it not being a hat. So much so that I now wear it all the time, especially when I wear my hair up. Warm, cute, and well-made. Great texture and with it being neutral, it goes with all my outerwear.

Whataya gonna knit knit knit for me, knit for me for being so cool? You're gonna knit knit knit me stuff, knit me stuff like that headband! Let's talk about how amazing the bow headband is. It makes regular folks like me break out into song and dance. Also, quick and easy shipping and transaction. Basically, RibAndWale is a dream come true.

I bought this shawl as a birthday gift for a friend and she absolutely loves it! The detail work is beautiful; the lacework clearly took a great deal of skill and time. The yarn she chose is buttery soft. Even though she has a March birthday, my friend was delighted she still got to wear it this season (possibly the only good thing to come out of this crazy winter).

This is a beautiful beanie. The yarn is heaven. It is unbelievably soft and warm and makes me wish I had matching gloves and scarf in the same yarn. Maybe even a blanket! There is craftsmanship and quality in this hat. It fits perfectly with just the right amount of slouch. Rib&Wale helped me achieve the custom fit I was looking for, which you can't get in a store. I also love the weight of this hat. It doesn't feel heavy on my head and I don't worry about getting hat hair when I wear it. All in all, a worthwhile first purchase for someone who will be a returning costumer in the future.

Enchanting! Fantastic! I only have great things to say about RibAndWale. I love the length of the cowl and the dimensions of the turquoise yarn. I purchased it for a friend and regret that decision daily. If it were mine, it would immediately move to the top of my scarf pile because it is perfection. I must say that as always, RibAndWale is a delight. Through in-person sales at markets, I have purchased several items and I am always thrilled. From RibAndWale, I currently own: a bow headband (used daily this winter!), a tie head band, an infinity scarf that can keep even the coldest penguin warm, adorable pink fingerless gloves, and even a cardigan that I love too much for words. The cowl was shipped super fast, too. If you are looking into shopping for yarny goods, RibAndWale is all about making knit dreams come true.
modern style. handcrafted. one-of-a-kind.
My grandmother taught me how to knit at her kitchen table, starting with yarn that my mother had used on long-abandoned projects years earlier.
Fast forward a couple decades. I'm in the desert working on a degree in poetry. It's hellishly hot and the sun is always shining. As pleasant as it is, I'm homesick for chilly autumn days and squishy scarves. I drive to a craft store for some cheap yarn and re-learn how to knit off youtube tutorials, but something about it all makes me feel like I'm back in my gram's kitchen. And that feels good.
I've come a long way since that blazing Arizona day. For one thing, I'm back in DC, where I experience the joy (and trials!) of seasons. For another, my knitting has evolved, and I love inventing knew patterns and coming up with creative ways to incorporate knitting into a modern and stylish girl's wardrobe.
I originally started making accessories for my friends as gifts and upon request. I love finding special patterns that will really make the colors or textures of the yarn stand out. Everything in my shop is a one-of-a-kind piece handmade by me. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know!
I'm happy to make custom orders and follow your specific needs and desires. Knitting for others and giving something warm and soft that will keep you cozy on a cold day is a joy.

Rachel's grandma taught her how to knit when she was a little girl, but she didn't really pick it up again and start making things until she was getting her Masters degree in the desert and found herself nostalgic for seasons.
