I wish the scent in this lotion were just a wee bit stronger.

About

For the Love of Lotion.

My journey started while at a craft show with my husband, who was selling his art/photography. I saw that items under $10 sold best, that the soap tables were popular, but that no one was selling lotion. So I decided to research how to make it.

I am very, very picky about lotion. Most lotion is too greasy, which drives me crazy. Then again, some lotion has too much emulsifying wax in it and feels "squeaky" which also drives me crazy. So my quest began to make the perfect lotion from scratch... and I succeeded! Don't take my word for it (but with me being as picky as I am, you totally should, lol) - you can read all sorts of lovely reviews in my feedback! :)

Once I had the perfect lotion, I started selling in craft shows and on eBay. One of my eBay customers told me about Etsy, and in December 2006, I set up my Etsy shop! Soon I was adding other products... my peppermint foot cream and sugar scrub have both enjoyed their fair share of success!

I've loved it here and have found a small corner of income. Just enough for me to treat my kids to something fun now and again. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little more about me and my journey!

Thank you for your interest in Right As Rain Creations.

I am a single-person operation. I currently make all my products from scratch - no pre-bought bases! I stay as natural as I possibly can, but some products are just safer with a bit of preservative. In that case, I use a paraben-free one. All my ingredients are listed in each listing as I believe in full-disclosure to those considering using my products!

My ingredients are cosmetic-grade & FDA approved. However, due to the variety of allergies and medical conditions that people have, if you are at all concerned, please review my ingredient list with your doctor before ordering.

All items are made in a smoke-free environment. We do have one cat, whom I keep out of my work stuff, but wanted to disclose her presence as I believe that those with allergies have the right to know. :)

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept PayPal, Google Checkout, and RME payments. For Google or RME, please check "Other" as your payment option and let me know which one in the Notes to Seller section as you check out.

Please pay within seven days. Remember, I won't ship your order until I get paid - and since I make most of my items on demand, some orders take up to five business days to ship. The longer you wait to pay, the longer you wait for your goodies!
Shipping
I ship via USPS, and will have your order in the mail within five business days of receipt of payment.

Please note: Because I am a one-person operation, a stay-at-home-mom to three children, and human, sometimes orders are delayed due to illness. I won't make your goodies if I am sick, for safety reasons. I will notify you if there will be a delay in your order, and you have the right to cancel and be refunded if you choose.

Shipping Charges: Because my items vary so much in weight, multiple item orders are hard to estimate (especially for overseas). I will refund any shipping charges that exceed $1.00 more than I estimated!

USA Customers, a medium flat rate box is $10.80 to ship, and that is my shipping cap! Buy as much as you want in one order and I will refund all shipping over $10.80 - so check with neighbors, co-workers, and friends to see about placing a group order!

International Customers: Please verify that customs will allow your order before placing it! You can read up on USPS customs info for your country here:
http://pe.usps.gov/text/imm/immctry.htm

Also, I can do flat rate boxes for you as well! Priority Mail (up to 20 pounds) Canada - $24, Everywhere else - $39. So any shipping on your order beyond that will be refunded.

NOTE: I do re-use packing materials when possible. I also use packing peanuts, but have so far managed to re-use ones I've already had or been given. If I ever do purchase them, I plan on purchasing the biodegradable ones. :)
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not allow returns on any body products, for health and safety reasons. If something arrives damaged or not as advertised, please contact me and we can discuss a refund.

If any order is lost in the mail, I will resend the order free of charge. Please contact me ASAP, although there is a waiting period before I will make and send the replacement order.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome wholesale inquiries, but at this time I am not accepting any more consignment contracts.
