Announcement   REDEFINED FURNITURE and Painted Old Windows are a joy to give new life to. Custom Orders Welcome. Pieces are either hand painted or sprayed determined by the look desired from shabby chic to high end, hard as nails finish. Also have some wooden Happy Fish plaque that can only put a smile on your face. Just so you know, I love what I do and if it's in the shop I would proudly have it in my home as well. I started out using Annie Sloan paint and still do but I am incorporating other paint processes and will mention what I use in each listing. Isn't this what artists do? Enjoy your time here and do tell your friends and DO COME AGAIN because you never know what new item I will be adding to my shop!!

About

I was born and raised with a Creative mind and spirit.

I was born and raised in Seattle Wa, the middle child of 11 kids....seven brother and 4 girls. OK, WOW is right, but oh the memories!!!! SWEET!! We are ALL creative in different ways (home builders, marble artist, dr, artists, fine finish carpenters, refrigeration) due largely to our parents varied skills and passions, dad a boat builder (built our house/kitchen) and mom a seamstress, gardener, bread maker and awesome cook to name a few. My parents were hardworking busy people!!!!

So, I have always loved working with my hands as you will see. I did many types of sewing growing up, jewelry making from silver to friendly plastic to now beaded jewelry. For many years I did and taught basketweaving selling many baskets and jewelry at art shows.

During the early years I joined the Navy for four years and spent that time in Hawaii. Hard life I know!! I married there and had four beautiful children now grown and gone. I'm now a grandmother of two beautiful grand daughters and one grandson.

As a single person on my own I became a massage therapist to support myself back in 2002 and I bought an unlivable house in 2005 that I am still renovating with an artistic touch. While still doing art shows I began painting on old windows and glass bottles for many years. Then in 2012 I think, my sister told me about Annie Sloan paint. She said, "Maggie this is right up your alley".....Many months later I saw the paint and some pieces in a shop in Tacoma Wa.....I flew home to Fl, went straight from the airport to Robyn Story Designs, picked up "Provence", the wax and brushes....Went home and started painting and haven't stopped since. This is my most favorite thing to do.....Take an old piece of furniture that nobody wants and turn it into something BEEEAUTIFUL!!! My dream as a young person was to make my own furniture....I think God has answered my prayer---I LOVE being creative in this way.....YOU are most welcome to my shop and I hope you enjoy your stay. DO check back from time to time because I'm always posting new items.....AND DO SHARE THIS SHOP WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!

One more thing....The sweet memories of canning every summer and the camping!!! The BEST!!!

I take special care to insure each piece is in excellent condition for it's considerable age. However, since all of my pieces are re-defined furniture and antiques they may have age consistent wear and tear, which adds to their time worn shabby appeal. I would not sell anything that I wouldn't be proud to have in my own home. All items are sold "as is".

Shipping
Your Zip code determines the best way to ship, either GPX or USPS(small items). A piece under 100 lbs and 80" or less is through Greyhound Package Express (GPX). This is station to station so you have to pick up when GPX calls you after it arrives which is why I NEED your phone number.

My GPX station is 67 miles away---so trips are limited to 2 times a month or a full vehicle whichever comes first.

I have been shipping packages all over the country and many people have asked me to check other carriers like Fedex, UPS. They always come out almost double of what I would quote you with Greyhound. My local pack and post guy tells me they don't like the big boxes and you get charged through the nose. For instance, if my package weighs 25 lbs say and it's say 35 x 20. There weight charge is a minimum of 150 #....I don't remember the exact number but it's just plain outrageous.

Additionally, I can not guarantee delivery times, I can only give estimates based on the information provided to me. Greyhound is space available, passengers go first so sometimes it can take longer then usual but I must say in most cases they are not too bad. I also keep tabs as best I can via telephone to your station.

ESTIMATED SHIPPING QUOTES are the same for NYC and LA. I DO NOT make money on shipping and if I have overage over $3, I send a refund. I do add a small amount for packaging materials, packing and transport.

Much care is taken to properly secure and wrap item for safe shipping. GREYHOUND PICK UP-- I would recommend you open package at Greyhound to verify there is no damage. If there is then you want to file a claim immediately and taking pictures of the damage.

*******SHIPPING LARGER PIECES******

I will work with any shipper of your choice via the free shipping quotes at uship.com or other shippers I've dealt with personally and recommend listed below.

You will get a number of bids within the hour and for many days. From my listing you will find the measurements and a picture of piece. They give bids without the weight. I am a residence, from Crystal River FL 34429

It's SO much more then just painting!

I see the future potential of an item and go to work. From the hours spent searching for just-right items, to the prep work (which includes inspecting each piece and making all repairs, cleaning, thoroughly sanding some piece and/or stripping, painting, glazing, distressing, and top-coating. Some of my pieces are hand painted, hand sanded, and hand finished. These varieties in look and feel speak to each person according to individual taste.

Some pieces are sprayed from start to finish which makes for a super smooth look. Much more labor intensive due to the various finishes which require sanding between each coat. Those pieces will be notated when sprayed.

Let me say this again as I did in the Welcome section.
I take special care to insure each piece is in excellent condition for it's considerable age. However, since all of my pieces are re-defined furniture and some are antiques they may have age consistent wear and tear, which adds to their time worn shabby appeal and sold "as is". I would not sell anything that I wouldn't be proud to have in my own home. More pictures always available upon request.

All pieces are solid wood unless noted. I employ artistic license when deciding to paint the inside of some drawers.

I hope you and your family enjoy the pieces I've loved giving a new life of
adventure to.
