I have been drawing since I was 3 years old and throughout school my front covers were far better than my projects.

After studying at academic level I ventured into the design world and became a digital designer; building websites, coding and working on the occasional brand. I ran my own agency for 8 years and decided to go on it alone and went freelance. 6 years later I decided to pursue a "grown-up" job with a salary, pension and share plan and joined a tech startup in London. Then lockdown happened and the great job on the other side of the fence was a nightmare. The culture was all wrong and I never felt so much anxiety and stress. I had no belief in my work and basically had mild panic attacks. After three months of no confidence I was asked to leave. The best thing that could happen mid-crisis - not really, but to me personally it couldn't of been better. I'm free!

I returned to freelance work and slowly picked up work and discovered an artist I idolised was doing a weekly workshop so I signed up and discovered what made me weird as a kid is my superpower - I just forgot how to use it! I hadn't picked up an art brush in years so I started making marks again, with no reason or gain but to just share my gift I misplaced. This later attracted some client attention and led me down the path creating linocuts of local landmarks that I loved and so did my growing audience. By having the confidence to put myself out there - battle fear with love - I started producing my best work and this started to sell as it spoke to people.
