Announcement    Truly Functional Art For Spinners
If you don't Absolutely Love what you're doing. You should be doing something else. Anyone who knows anybody with Strong Convictions and a Deep Passion for their Craft, knows that they are not driven by fame, prestige, admiration or money. We do what we're passionate about because it's in our Spirit, and it's what feeds our Soul. Call it a life's purpose or your life's work. Driven not to be a successful type or to be better than anyone. But, because you Absolutely Love what you're doing, enjoy Learning something new everyday, are excited to win through failures, and have learned to take joy in, appreciate, and even relish in every obstacle, impediment, complication, or problem that's thrown your way. Knowing it's those things you utterly stand to gain the most from. Be it in knowledge, development of skills, or most importantly, as human being. For me, It's all about being the best I can be everyday, taking the good with the bad, and striving to be better through it. Resilience Blossoms through Adversity.
I think, that in anything, I've often found that it’s the multitude of finite details that will ultimately define some things overall and absolute beauty.
I Love making Turkish Drop Spindles. These Spindles are very high Quality, hand made, works of art, that are meant to be used. Everything is handmade from start to finish.

Thank you for visiting.

“We become wiser by adversity; prosperity destroys our appreciation of the right.”
– Lucius Anneaus Seneca

I Love woodworking! Every aspect: From going to the lumber yard, putting patterns on, setting up a machine, prepping a board, all the way through milling lumber down to get a flat face and a 90 degree corner, planing to proper thickness, (which is typically arbitrary), ripping boards down, re-sawing planks, onto card scraping, hand planing, hand sanding, to the end when you're applying finish. Waiting for it to dry, so I can sand again, and reapply another coat of finish.
My story is simple. When I was young my dad enjoyed woodworking. Although, Mostly out of what I would consider now, a necessity. The necessity was to learn new things about a craft, to Save money, and most importantly, was to do it himself. He believed if you could do it yourself, you should. So he did! Those Philosophies have stuck with me, Strengthened, Empowered, and often times Humbled me. He and Mom did a craft fair for a few years and were happy to just break even. So, I've been working with wood since I was a very boy and helping my dad, mostly putting on finish.
I believe in extremely tight tolerances, and are often caught with a pair of dial or digital calipers to measure whatever i'm working on. I'm the guy measuring three times, cutting, measuring, and cutting again.
