Crabs and Octopi and (dream) Mexico and a cat and a human being
I live on a sparrow fart (not my words) of an island in the Mediterranean - Malta. I love making (anything), reading (everything), exploring the material and the imaginary - and swimming in the sea.
It took me a long time to start this venture. In 2010, I took part in a local handmade market called Patches. I enjoyed interacting with curious people and the positive feedback was overwhelming.
So here I am, after a few more stints at the same market and a Facebook page - opening an Etsy shop. Exciting!

A friend explained to me that: You can whitewash a polka-dotted wall but the polka dots will eventually resurface. Here are my dots. 1. Misgivings about what I do (serve to keep me on my toes) 2. Kitsch and curiosity 3. The human experience
Accepted payment methods
Please allow 2-3 weeks (I'm over-estimating to be on the safe side) for shipping - as the items ship from a tiny island with a reliable postal service but many miles to travel.
I trust my country's national post but any system can develop glitches - if you require registered post or tracking, please let me know via message during the transaction.
Also, if the listing doesn't give you shipping rates for your area, this doesn't mean that I don't ship there - I'm still in the process of calculating rates for everything.
Refunds and Exchanges
I would (within reason) offer refunds and exchanges, but also hope that you'll be so pleased with your purchase that you won't need to ask about either. When it comes to the items losing their shape or getting damaged, I would appreciate it if you could contact me with images of the damage to see how the issue can be solved. These items are handmade and some of them are quite delicate so some wear and tear is to be expected.
Additional policies and FAQs
I pack everything as I would when I'm sending gifts to friends - hope it pleases you too. However, should you wish to have your belt/crab/octopus gift-wrapped in a specific way for a special person (to cater to their tastes or elaborate on an in-joke), go ahead and drop me a line.
CUSTOM ORDERS *make me happy*
I love it when people approach me with a crazy idea for me to flesh out. Here's a link to one example of that kind of collaboration: http://rita-rita-rita.tumblr.com/post/26714780741/i-was-contacted-through-facebook-by-someone-who
