What a great deal! I received a lantern with fantastic craftsmanship! It is very bright and is constructed very well. Rob was very nice to answer all of my questions and is very knowledgeable. I will be ordering again soon!

Amazing lantern, fantastic work as always from Rob. This is my second purchase from him & I will definitely buy again! Works just as described, providing unidirectional light. Looking forward to using it for many years to come!

About

Exploring folk art in all it's glory.

Throughout my life I have been trying to find my place creatively in this world. At various points it has been either a full-time or part time passion, depending on my employment situation at the time.

I tend to try everything. I started selling pine furniture back during what I call the "Blue Duckie Period" of craft shows back in the early 80's. Later, after a break of a few years I became DEEPLY involved with rustic furniture and sold rustic furniture around the northeast states for about 10 years. That sort of ran its course and I was once again searching.

It's funny how life circles back on us. Years ago I wanted to have a shop that was mostly hand tool powered. But it always seemed that production overruled and I ended up with a shop full of power tools. Lots of noise, dust and stress.

Now, decades later, my personal desires, health issues and life-long interest in the old ways of working, have brought me back to that point. but now I have packed most of the power tools into storage and am making most of my work with mostly hand tools.

Now, instead of trying to make 10 at a time of something, I can enjoy a quiet, dust free shop as I make 1 or 2 of something. Life is good.

I have been creating in some form since I was a kid building forts in the woods and collecting rocks and bones. I strive to always be learning new techniques and finding ways to use them in my work.
