Robin Cottage, at home in the Pacific Northwest

I originally started on Etsy in January 2011 making a wide variety of items for Indian vs. Indian - a shop for which I created all of the Pendleton® wool pillows, vintage camp stool and deck chair seat covers, and many vintage clothing alteration projects.

I then decided to launch my own shop, Robin Cottage, a year later. Since then, it has become a successful part time endeavor.

I am the proud mother of a wonderful 5 year old boy named Evan, and two awesome dogs, Sophie and Toby. We live in an old farmhouse in Portland, Oregon, built in 1912. I have a small studio in our home where I collect and neatly pile remnants and new yardage of Pendleton® wool fabrics next to my Pfaff sewing machine.

I collect all of my fabrics from Pendleton® Woolen Mills here in Portland, where remnant and excess material is brought in weekly from the company's two factories in Washougal, Washington and Pendleton, Oregon.

I hold a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (1999) from the University of Oregon. My architectural background inspires me to create finely crafted and meticulously detailed items with outstanding hand craftsmanship.

I make handcrafted items with new and remnant Pendleton Wool fabric.I love the geometric symbols, striking earth tones and symmetric repetition that is characteristic of Pendleton fabric designs.
