Announcement   Jewelry & Only Jewelry! Nope - not anymore! I'm sorting items from GYPSY MADONNA and placing some of the inventory over here. All my handcrafted work will be on GYPSY MADONNA while the overflow will be over on my website RobinsNestMidwest.com.

Over the last 30 years I have collected a diverse assortment of goods and every other day I seem to find more! The items I crave the most were manufactured during the reign of Queen Victoria, but frankly, I love just about everything from times gone by - Georgian, Edwardian, Art Deco, Art Nouveau - if it's OLD, I definitely LIKE! By hunting and gathering for so many years, I have a lot to sell and what better place to offer my treasures than my shop on ETSY!

My listings will be varied - antique pieces, mid-century pieces, odds 'n ends, and of course, bits and pieces that can be repurposed into new creations. I'll have wood, cloth, ribbon, paper, gold, silver AND MORE. My inventory should cover a lot of time periods, a lot of price points and eventually, I hope to find new homes for everything!

If you don't find what you are looking for here, please feel free to contact me - I am continually finding pieces and not everything I have is up (you should see my workroom floor)! Goodness knows, I just might have what you are looking for!

Welcome to my shop. I hope you enjoy your stay.

About

Robins Nest Midwest: Your Place to Shop Antique & Vintage Jewelry

Robins Nest Midwest is all about my home. In 1999, I lost my job and rather than jump back into the legal secretarial field, I decided to take advantage of selling on the Internet. In the early days, there was really only one online selling venue but when ETSY eventually came along, I was one of the first to sign up!

Hi! My name is Robin Yeo and I'm the owner/curator of Robins Nest Midwest. I have loved antiques ever since my room mate dragged me to my first Flea Market in Los Angeles (the Rose Bowl). In my early days, I couldn't afford much and bought and sold mainly textiles - hankies, lace, trims, clothing and the like as they were the cheapest items available at the time. Eventually I made a foray into costume jewelry and from there, jumped into the finer things - jewelry of gold and silver. Along the way I continued to hone my "eye" and experimented with other smaller antique pieces that I could sell on the Internet - picture frames, prints, royalty items and more..

In 2004 I made a move from Los Angeles to St. Peters, Missouri, an area of the US known for "fresh" merchandise. Estate sales are a way of life here in the Midwest and each week offered new opportunities to purchase fresh items to sell to my growing list of buyers. As my business expanded so did my expenses and it became apparent that I needed a "home" rather than an "apartment". With a little help from my father and a little faith in applying for a mortgage, my goal of being a homeowner happened in 2007. Robin had a nest in the Midwest and with luck (and some good inventory), she'd be in one place for the rest of her selling life!

I hope your visit to my shop is a pleasurable one. I vet all my jewelry very carefully - I have a critical eye and want my customers to return again and again.

Thank you for visiting!

Robin

Payment
I accept: Paypal, Visa/Mastercard (through Paypal), cash, check or money order. I do ship internationally and yes, I do pack my treasures as carefully as I possibly can. I want my goods to arrive with no damage whatsoever!

Payment is appreciated within 3 days and yes, if you purchase more than one item, I do combine shipping.

Can I do layaway? Yes. I can handle that - just contact me.
Shipping
In most cases I ship USPS First Class. Yes, I will ship internationally but note that there are new rules in place for shipping items (especially jewelry) overseas.

First Class Postage is $2.95 on most small items - that's for postage, delivery tracking but NO insurance. If an item is over $35 in value, I have automatically calculated postage as including insurance.

Flat items will be shipped in a plain envelop with cardstock. Anything of a 3D nature will come in a box placed inside a bubble envelope (or box).
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds? Absolutely. You're not stuck with anything. If you don't like, notify me by e-mail of its return, and send the item back for a refund within 3 days of receipt. Buyer is responsible for the postage to return (including insurance and/or delivery confirmation) and the refund will be for the purchase price only.

If the item has a flaw I didn't mention - send it back. In this case, I will refund the purchase price AND the outgoing shipping - if I didn't spot the flaw, I shouldn't have been selling it in the first place!

If a package is lost or damaged and has been insured, I will process the claim to get payment back as quickly as possible so I can reimburse buyer. If insurance is declined on a package and damage does occur, I cannot be held responsible. So if you have a post office that is a "package chomper" and loves to crush things, please let me know in advance and I will try to thwart the beast!

With regard to returns......

Please do so within 3 days of receipt sending me an e-mail prior to its return. Anything longer than that period of time and with no prior communication, I may decline the return or will charge a 15% restocking fee.

Any return made MUST be in the same condition as when sent - in other words, please don't use/wear an item, damage it and then expect to get a refund. Again, the item returned must be in the same condition as sent. Under no circumstances will I offer a refund for an item I have sold and is returned to me in damaged condition.
