Hello and welcome to my ETSY shop, please click READ MORE!
I sell loose rare gemstones and finished jewelry. I also use ETSY as a place to sell off jewelry making supplies I no longer need/want. I have been in the jewelry making business since 1988. I am a proud member of The Artisan Group. I am a wife, a mom, a former teacher, a hobby farmer, a plant and animal lover, and an overlander. My logo is the Maya word "to be adorned".
Most of my loose rare gems began their life with me in the rough and then I send the rough out to be faceted to my specifications. This helps ensure the veracity of the mineral identification and the claim of no treatments as well as keeps costs down.
My jewelry varies from affordable beaded bracelets and sterling beaded earrings to my specialties: ancient Roman glass jewelry, precious pearl jewelry, and rare gemstone jewelry.
Questions and special requests are always welcome! Please follow me on Facebook and on Instagram. Also please scroll to the bottom of my page to see my ETSY "Updates" section and my "About RockLogic" section.
Please note, wholesale orders used to be handled through www.wholesalecrafts.com (now called www.indieme.com) artist number 22565. If you are one of my wholesale customers and have switched to shopping with me here please contact me for your wholesale code. If you are a new wholesale customer please contact me with your credentials to set up a wholesale account with me. Be aware that the same minimums I had set up on Wholesalecrafts.com apply here. If your state is one of the states that ETSY is forced to collect sales tax for please contact me to make direct wholesale purchases as I cannot remove the sales tax here.
Thanks for stopping by!

5 out of 5 starsLove this wonderful bracelet with a unique eudialyte bead. It carries so much positive energy. Alex is knowledgeable about many aspects of stones and jewelry-making. In addition to receiving the item itself, I have learned a lot. Thank you very much, Alex!

Long History in the Jewelry Arts
I started collecting beads when I was quite small. I made my first bracelet in the second grade and by twelfth grade had sold my first pieces of jewelry to teachers and fellow students. I began selling my jewelry retail at art fairs and wholesale to local shops immediately upon graduating from high school in 1988.
I started working with ancient Roman glass shards in 1993, and by the late 1990s I started selling loose rare faceted gemstones. I gave up retail art fairs for a wholesale venue selling both my gems and finished jewelry at the Tucson Gem and Mineral shows every February. By 2012 family constraints forced me to give up the Tucson venue as well as the loose rare faceted gem business.
Now that the children are a little older I have begun to work more with the finished jewelry end of the business. I sell retail on eBay, ETSY, and for a long while had a thriving wholesale jewelry business on Wholesalecrafts.com (now called indieme.com). I look forward to someday soon creating my own stand alone website and growing the business even more.

Owner, Designer, Photographer
I love to work with pearls, ancient Roman glass, sterling, faceted gems & gemstone beads. I am self taught. I do not keep a full bench, but in addition to stringing I can set gems, have done some soldering, and have worked with precious metal clay.

All my loose gemstones are 100% natural and untreated in any way. All my pearls are natural though some freshwater pearls and some vintage Japanese Akoya pearls have been color enhanced.
