Mi nombre es Rob Taylor y soy el artista y autor de "Rocketing Past".
Durante los últimos ocho años he tenido la suerte de haber realizado mi sueño de abrirme camino en el mundo como artista visual de gira. Aunque mi trabajo en obras de arte de la cultura pop continúa siendo satisfactorio, no puedo resistir el llamado a compartir un nuevo estilo visual y voz original con ustedes.
Al conceptualizar este proyecto, mi objetivo era introducir un mundo en el que mis intereses personales, idiosincrasia, preocupaciones y pasiones pudieran vivir y prosperar. En otras palabras, la historia se establecería naturalmente en el espacio, debe incluir elementos de tiempo y viajes interdimensionales, y ciertamente idolatraría la tecnología y el diseño nostálgicos de los años 70 y 80. Los colores vivos y caprichosos sangraban a través de texturas vintage y cohetes, robots y pistolas de rayos, siempre se sentirían como en casa con mi uso de la poesía, la cartografía y la tipografía.
¿Ambicioso? Sí. ¿Imposible? Nunca.
Con una nueva versión del futurismo retro, he comenzado a crear una serie única de piezas de arte y elementos de la historia que lo acompañan basados en los viajes interestelares de un artista fuera de lugar y su excéntrica tripulación a bordo del U.S. Wanderment.
Es mi intención lanzar cada imagen a la venta como una impresión primero y, con el transcurso del tiempo, recopilarlas todas en una hermosa antología de tapa dura que incluirá imágenes y palabras.
Me gustaría invitarte a este viaje conmigo y espero que encuentres mi imaginación e ideas para ser la distracción momentánea perfecta de nuestro mundo exterior.

My name is Rob Taylor and I’m the artist and author of "Rocketing Past."
For the last eight years I’ve been lucky enough to have realized my dream of making my way in the world as a touring visual artist. Though my work in pop-culture artwork continues to be fulfilling, I can’t resist the call to share a new original visual style and voice with you.
When conceptualizing this project, it was my goal to introduce a world in which my personal interests, idiosyncrasies, preoccupations, and passions could live and thrive. In other words, the story would naturally be set in space, it must include elements of time and interdimensional travel, and it would certainly idolize nostalgic 70's and 80’s tech and design. Vivid whimsical colors would bleed through vintage textures and rockets, robots, and ray-guns, would always feel right at home with my use of poetry, cartography and typography.
Ambitious? Yes. Impossible? Never.
With a fresh take on Retro Futurism, I have begun creating a unique series of art pieces and accompanying story elements based on the interstellar journeyings of a misplaced artist and his eccentric crew aboard the U.S. Wanderment.
It is my intention to release each image for sale as a print first, and, over the course of time, collect them all into a beautiful hardcover anthology which will include both images and words.
I would like to invite you on this journey with me and hope you find my imagination and ideas to be the perfect momentary distraction from our world outside.
