Award Winning Preserves Made From Naturally Grown, Farm-Fresh Produce.
Rockgate Farm is the one of the Stanley Family home places in South Central Missouri. I moved to this farm in February of 1999 and began planting trees and vines. I developed a couple of large garden spots, and then I went to work.
Today, I grow fresh vegetables, fruits, grapes, berries, and tree nuts. I also raise chickens and ducks for exhibition and eggs. My farm is a "no kill" facility, and everything that I produce is organic. Yes, I am a Master Gardener, and I am also life-time certified to produce acidic foods (pickles and such).
I have been preserving foods in one form or another for over forty years now. I enjoy dehydrating herbs to make my spice blends. I also make some pretty yummy preserves such as blackberry jelly and apple butter. Got boxes of ribbons and trophies. I'm also a pretty fair cook. Try some of my bread or cookies for a tasty treat.
On the crafty side, I do a lot of needlework, and I've also taken up making jewelry. I enjoy going to auctions and estate sales, so sometimes, I have some neat stuff. Most of the books and magazines belong to a group of ladies at my church called Hearts and Hands. Their auctions are labeled, and all proceeds go to them.
So, if you have any questions about anything offered, or any concerns, convo me...I'll answer. Thanks for stopping by.
About me... I've been preserving for over forty years now, and along with being a Master Gardener, I take a great deal of pride and pleasure in growing most of the produce that goes into my pickles and such. I'm a fierce cook!
