Announcement   Hi Etsy shoppers! Just wanted to give a little history of who I am. I have been keeping fish, shrimp, snails, and reptiles for years, and have grown accustomed to their wants and needs- as well as what is pleasing to their human's eye :)
I use hand picked natural stone, driftwood, and other earth-made materials to create my aquarium/terrarium decorations. All my plants are home grown from propogations, in tanks specifically designed for plant growth. All rock items comes from land that is pesticide and chemical free, they are scrubbed free of any free agents or soils, and are boiled to remove any additional solids. All driftwood/plant items are prepared using toxin free methods, tannins are removed ahead of time so YOU don't have the headache of boiling wood for hours on your stove :) I use only hardwood that is rot-free and dried BEFORE prep is even started to ensure that the wood is indeed viable. I am a seller who knows what is compatible to your pet's environment and health, and will offer these at competitive prices- unlike retailers or people who are selling untreated or potentially harmful products because they are not properly educated on what is or is not safe for these animals. Any questions, please feel free to ask!

Perfectly sized for my 10-gallon aquarium. My fish like to hide inside it and also swim just above the top as if they're "sitting" on it (so cute). A quality product and it didn't even have any sharp effect on the tank parameters!

About

Neat, natural, safe stuff for your tank!

Your fish have to live in it, but you have to look at it. There has to be a happy median to your aquarium, right? There's so much to choose from out there, natural decorations, imitations...but who can resist the beauty of natural stone, driftwood, and live plants? The only problem is that not everything is safe for your tank! Big box vendors don't always have items that are safe for your fish, chemical treated woods, commercially processed items, and lack of attention can mean that you aren't getting what you think you might be. Smaller vendors may be undereducated about what they are selling. Is that type of rock going to impact your water chemistry? Is that wood hardwood, cured, and tank ready? Is that plant poisonous to fish, what type of water conditions do I grow it in? Are these questions they can answer? Can they offer competitive prices?
I can!
I source all of my stone from my own property- 2 acres of wooded land with natural slate deposits, and a spring-fed natural pond. It is cleaned and heat treated. My driftwood comes from natural sources, I verify that it is a hardwood, and not soft or rotten. It is oven dried before curing, and then is boiled for several hours to remove any tannins or impurities. I do not use any bleaches or chemicals, meaning it is safe for use upon arrival. My plants are homegrown, usually prorogations from mother plants from my other tanks. They are cultivated in my plant-only grow tank, I dose with some liquid fertilizer because there is no fish in the water to create wastes to feed the plants, but they are otherwise grown the old fashioned way-water and light.
I strive to provide safe, affordable, sustainable decorative options for those want an aesthetic look from their aquariums- whether they keep planted tanks only, fish, snails, shrimp, amphibious reptiles, snakes...or whatever, I aim to educate on the safest ways to beautify their space. Most importantly I cut out all the prep and mess that comes along with preparing these natural items, so when it gets to your doorstep, you're minutes from the look you want!
