Announcement   I have a pdf file titled 'rectangle experiment' on www.rectangleloom.info about some weaving experiments I did with Continuous Strand Weaving on rectangle looms. In particular, what pin spacing and what size makes the best scarves with worsted weight yarn. Lots of photos.

I finally figured out how to arrange the pins on a rectangle frame loom in order to have the weaving come out 'perfect' at the finish. At first I was not successful in figuring it out, but after 2 years of putting it aside, I stumbled on the foumula. My Hideaway brand rectangle looms have this feature. Other loom makers are starting to make looms with this outcome but not all yet.
Etsy is a great marketplace, benefiting both sellers and buyers.

All the looms listed here are completed and ready to ship from Arizona as soon as I package them. Etsy listings have a flat shipping rate but I can look up a shipping cost for you for your zip code. I like doing custom orders and welcome your inquires. You can find more info on my looms on my website and free continuous strand weaving instructions for the triangle and rectangle.

About

I like to make continuous weaving pin frame looms

It started when I saw a triangle loom being demonstrated at a fiber show in Eugene. Very interesting to me. A year or so later I made my first one for my friend as a surprise gift. I messed up the pin count but corrected the flaw. She made some nice shawls on it, using homespun yarn from mohair from our angora goats. I didn't think about making them for sale until we moved to Arizona.
I started making Hideaway Homestead branded triangle looms part time before I reached 'retirement' age. I became interested in continuous strand weaving on the rectangle but could not find a definitive plan for the pin arrangement. Some of the 'formulas' worked OK for short rectangles but I could not figure out how to make it work perfectly for longer rectangles. So I put it down for a few years and quit trying.
Then I picked it back up and through trial and error I figured it out. How to make a pin frame rectangle loom of any width that would be right for continuous strand weaving at any possible, infinite, length. I now brand my looms simply HIDEAWAY with the cabin logo. You can find my free weaving instructions for the rectangle at www.rectangleloom.info
