I am thrilled with the set of silhouettes of Queen Victoria and the Prince Consort. The hand written paper nameplate has the name W H Harrison on the reverse side, as you are aware. It must have been a gift to him as he was elected president in 1840, the year of their marriage. Unfortunately he died in April of 1941. So far I haven't been able to find out more. I was searching for parian but I think they could be marble. It will give me something to occupy myself with as I recover from foot surgery scheduled for Tues, as long as the heavy snow storm predicted tonight doesn't cause havoc! Thank you for the careful packaging. If you ever come across any other unusual artifacts from Queen Victoria's reign I would love to hear. I'm especially interested because my great grandfather was the Queen's private band leader.
