Announcement   ✦✦✦ Soda Fired Pottery for Daily Use. Beautiful, Wheel Thrown Stoneware ✦✦✦

Thanks for visiting my Etsy shop. I like to keep it well stocked and give you many choices. I usually fire my kiln every month so there is always new work being added to the shop. I ship the pots out within 1-2 business days.

I am happy to ship internationally. You can Convo me for an estimate for international orders and I will get right back to you. It's helpful to include your address when you send the Convo.

A note on shipping when ordering multiple items. Often the shipping costs will add up to more than necessary when over two items are ordered. I will refund any shipping overages after the order is placed.

Soda firing is a unique and exciting process. Towards the end of the firing I spray a solution of water and soda ash into the kiln to glaze the pots or to further enhance the glazes already on the pottery. Heavier soda deposits result in an 'orange peel' texture on the pottery. Carbon may be trapped on the edges of some pots creating beautiful color. Each pot is unique and the story of the firing is recorded in it's surface.

I hope you'll like these pots as much as I do. If you have any questions please feel free to Convo me.
Cheers,
Ron

This bird jar is one of my favorite possessions. I love it and have it displayed lovingly and proudly so that everyone may see it! Thank you, thank you, for your beautiful craftsmanship and care. Teresa

This mug is a tactile pleasure. It's smooth, just weighty enough to be nicely balanced, has a good handle, and a lip that's easy to drink from. The teal/blue soda firing is something unique.

Updates

Making more Blue Bird Jars for the next firing. These make great salt or sugar jars. Also nice for jewelry.
I'm finishing up pots in the studio today. Had to take a break for tea and cookies though. Ha. It's great being my own boss. This is a favorite mug of mine. I have some similar ones in the online shop. Have a great day!
Owl and turtle jars ready for the upcoming firing. The Blue Owl jar on the left is currently available in the shop. These are some of my favorite pots to make. The Turtles have been around for many years. The Owls are the newest addition to this series
