    Owner, Maker, Customer Service

As a child, my love of jewelry started by designing "unique" pieces from scraps in my father's studio. I jumped at the opportunity to work alongside him again. Armed with his teachings, I am happy to continue Surf & Sand Jewelry for years to come.

Frequently asked questions

Ring Sizing

Surf & Sand Rings and Gold Stacking Rings are available in standard US ring sizes. The most accurate way to find a size for the Surf & Sand ring is to go to a jewelry store and be sized for a 5 mm wide, non comfort fit band. The most accurate method for sizing the Gold Stacking Rings is the same as above, but for a 1 - 2 mm wide band.

Returns & Exchanges

The following applies to in-stock items only. I am not currently offering exchanges or returns on custom or made-to-order items.

Exchanges:
Ordering jewelry, especially rings, online can be difficult. If you receive your piece and are not satisfied with the fit, please reach out. I am happy to help you with an exchange.

Returns:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return the item for a full refund.

How It Works:
With exchanges and returns, you are responsible for return shipping; I recommend a service with tracking and insurance. I will create a new shipment or process your return once your item is in my possession.

Cancellations

I am not currently offering cancellations on custom or made-to-order items once work has begun due to the materials and special attention required. If you need to cancel, please reach out as soon as possible. In-stock items may be canceled prior to shipping.

Bracelet & Cuff Sizing

Bracelet Sizing:
The rule of thumb is to take your exact wrist measurement and add 1/4 inch for a regular fit and 1/2 inch for a loose fit. I find a flexible tailor's measuring tape works best, but if you don't have one, you can wrap your wrist with anything flexible but not stretchy and measure it with a regular ruler.

Cuff Sizing:
Take your exact wrist measurement using the method above and subtract 1/2 inch.

Bangle Sizing:
First, make a fist and find the centers of your pointer finger and pinky knuckles. Measure the distance between these two knuckles with a ruler, in inches, which will correspond to the sizes in the drop-down box. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger of the two.

Orders Marked as Gifts

Thank you for choosing my work for your gift! Gifting jewelry can present issues, especially with sizing, and I want you to be able to order with confidence. I am happy to work with you outside of the stated window for exchanges and returns. This applies to in-stock items – please contact me prior to purchasing made-to-order and custom items if this is a concern.

Order Errors

I am human and can make mistakes. If I make an error on your order, please reach out as soon as possible so I can correct my mistake. In this case, I provide or reimburse return shipping if necessary and ship your corrected order as soon as possible.

Shipping & Expedited Shipping

All in-stock items will be shipped in 1-2 days upon payment. Standard pieces made-to-order generally ship in 3-5 days. Custom pieces require additional processing time. These designations can be found on the item listing and/or within the description.

Shipping within the United States is always free, however, you are responsible for return shipping on exchanges and returns where there is no error on my part. I use USPS and UPS shipping methods at my discretion.

If you need expedited shipping, please reach before ordering so I can provide rates. Expedited shipping may be purchased through a custom listing. I will make every effort ship your item(s) ASAP, however, there is no guarantee it will arrive on time once tendered to the carrier.

A Note on Pricing

Precious metal prices have fluctuated significantly in recent years, with gold and silver reaching historic highs. Rather than adjusting prices frequently or building in large retail markups, I believe in straightforward, intentional pricing from the start.

Each piece of Surf & Sand jewelry reflects two core elements: quality materials and careful craftsmanship. When metal weight varies by size, pricing adjusts accordingly so each customer pays fairly for what is required.

I review pricing periodically to stay aligned with material costs. My commitment remains simple: honest materials, fair pricing, and handcrafted jewelry made to be worn for years to come.
